What a sweet moment you caught (a bird helping build a nest for its young) and I believe you captured it quite well.
The focus and the framing of the shot is magnificent- only the subject is in focus (the bird and some of the pole) and it is slightly off center. One thing that caught my attention was actually the feet, and how small they looked trying to grasp the pole. Additionally, I quite like how you chose to make it monochromatic. If it was in full color, I don't know think the impact would have been quite as high, so well done!
One thing that bothered me a little was the vision portion of this. While I am quite partial to the color you chose, I feel as if it weren't perhaps the best choice for this piece. My thinking is that the overall feel of the image as it stands is a bit too dark and dramatic for the subject matter. Perhaps a lighter color like a blue would work better.
Still, this is a great photo! Good job!

Great DOF, very nice colours and I even like the grain in this one. Very well done. It could be a little bit less dark, but that would increase the grain to an annoying level, so better keep it that way. Good work.
