You pretty much nailed it. Extremely cute, looks like she's about to hop right off an animation cell. Good work. I especially like the warm blend of colors and the serene setting of the image. A lot of times when you see fanart of this character, the artists have gone berserk with bright coloring in an attempt to emulate the comics and the animation -- which is okay. But sometimes subtle is nice, too, doing something without being overtly gaudy. Maybe you should consider joining up with Archie Comics to work on the actual book itself. Keep up the good work.
