Indeed, I had to give the reference to that book! After all, I doubt you would find any other race in The City other than human even though, to be honest, I`ve first head it in lyrics of "We didn`t Start the Fire" and I just loved the sound of it, haha!

This is meant to be of no offense to the game whatsoever, hardcore Thief fans! Unlike many other cases, this character just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time and being effected by the particularly wrong spell, so if she appears in many of my Thief works, then you know that it`s a crazy case of crossovers that happened because of a spell mishap in Morrowind! Heck, for Thief universe, I really have no OCs, counting off Karis, but hell, I had not told or shown anything about Karis yet, as he is still somewhere in my brain, being subjected by harsh thought processes of whenever to even keep him, so he`s in a pretty hot fire, thus most of the time OCs from other universes may appear, in totally different roles (like my dream self once and even Matha O_O).
Just to note, part of the idea is being contributed by Norroen-Stjarna (yeah, again. Sorry for so many mentions! x3) because of her really brilliant comic that crosses TES with Tolkien’s Silmarillion: fav.me/d7gfuw7 , even though the base for this particular crossover is based on totally different perspectives that are not so obvious

The base(s) mentioned for this particular crossover is/are lying mostly in gameplay mechanics of both franchises. Remember how you have to walk as silently as you can, occasionally climb things, use your equipment wisely and use the shadows to your advantage? Well, similar goes for TES in some places (heck, you can use some skills in Thief to play in TES as well, only beware of some particular differences, like vast equipment span, the level of your skills you`re sporting as your chosen character and how the crime justice works there), only those particular things are expressed with skills (Sneak, Acrobatics, Athletics, Blade, Archery ...) and maybe some leveling-up of your skills is required to get really good with them, so that you could stalk, steal and run, if seen. Don`t even ask me about the entire guard and undead scheme as well I`ve got no comment about this bit at all.
Yes, maybe Me-Zharta is sporting the thief-style uniform, but she is a real far-shot from being a good thief. In fact, the only reason she is having this is because the Downwinders saw her when trying to steal some food in this new mysterious city and got her into the Guild, no matter if she looked absolutely nothing like they had seen before, which they would probably use as a secret infiltrator because of her skills she carried over from her previous universe, Morrowind (great, but not supreme, sneaking, tremendous jumping power and acrobatics due to both her skill and legs, using martial art to evade the blows (aka Unarmored in her world ), impressive running speed and her overall disgust over corruption). Of course her luck soon turns to bad as Garret infiltrates the Downwinders and she is forced to stay on the streets in order to not fall victim to now-hostile Thieves there, but not for long, as her Hist-induced influence (I think that in that area Argonians would be more tuned to nature and magics the Pagans are doing, through trees, thus it would really screw up the setting, if you think about it. I think that they could be called "Lizard Beasts" by people because they would think they`re connected to The Trickster for their handling with natural resources and their mysterious ability to be "tree-whispers", but who knows if they would know that some "Lizard Beasts" could be Argonians that got stuck in this universe because of strange mishaps in their home universes?) soon starts to provide hints from other trees that might help her in escaping this world of danger and return back to Her Second Homeland, no matter the cost~

Why is she having the Serpentine Torc in here is a total and utter mystery, but might hint that she could be more brave than initially thought to be
