my VERY LATE secret santa for prokyon with her raphael and my joel, as another example of "crimson's ambition hugely outweighing a given timeline and taking way too long" ghghhghg; hard to tell exactly but I think this took likee 8-10 hours across a few weeks, so like double my regular Big Art time? partially because I kept fiddling with that water too darn long, learning both how to do 'water in motion' better as well as trying out a bunch of csp brushes I found
all that to say I think it's all mighty worth it, I am very pleased with this!! 8D it is great having your ideas come to life basically exactly as imagined 'u`
also, let's compare to the last time I drew 'centaurs on a beach' 4 years ago, hot damn:

... drawing this also made me realize how infrequently I actually draw my characters' platonic friendships lol; mostly do romance and then sometimes fam, but most platonic stuff is either me+friend shenanigans or else dnd stuff I think xD
(last friend art being that jay+kai doodle probably. I promise they all have actual friends haha)

pps joel has some nice gold in his borrowed from arcane's mel medarda because I love her and gold + dark skin is always such a hella combo 👌👌👌
