Description
Its stamen aches to be touched, within a matter of days it will wither and die ... until next year---
A kind of reworking of my Wet Petals shot which I took many, many years ago.

love the cold blue colour contrasting with the orange bits, will have to try some shots like this when I get my new Macro lens. Did you use a dedicated macro lens for this?

No, just standard 28-200 zoom, that let's me get fairly close with larger subjects like this. Macro would be nice but can't really justify it at the moment with the amount of macro shots I'd take.

awsome great color adjustment (at least it seems like you did) if you did no adjustments than that would make this pic even more unique.

This looks incredible.
I love your use of black and white mixed with yellow.
It adds a lot of expression and allows the viewer to focus only on the color while the background compliments the rest.

Lovely shot, the blue tone works very well with the colour of the stamens. The water drops are a cool touch too. Like it a lot!

Very pretty shot. I like how you chose to focus on the pollen thingamahoozies instead of the flower. Again, beautiful shot, well done!
