Tails and Cosmo rushed into the kitchen, hand in hand.  Cosmo had baked them an apple pie.  But there recent fun in the bedroom had left them distracted, leaving the chili to go cold on the turned-off stove.  Luckily, they hadn't left it too long, so Cosmo only needed to turn the stove back on for a few minutes to heat it up.
"You know, you can go back upstairs and put your shoes and socks back on while you wait," Cosmo suggested, since she took them off in the bedroom earlier to have fun with his feet.
"Oh no, I'm fine," Tails answered.
"But your feet," Cosmo pointed out.  "Won't they get cold?"
"Then how about you give me another foot rub while we wait, instead?" Tails suggested.  "That way you can have more of my feet already."
"Okay," Cosmo blushed.

She led Tails to a chair, and sat him down gently.  She then knelt in front his feet on the floor and rubbed her hands together for a few seconds so they wouldn't feel cold on his feet.  Cosmo then placed one hand on each of Tails' feet with her palms on his toes, and then began rubbing her hands up and down his feet.  Tails moaned in pleasure.  Cosmo snickered because she loved that he liked it.  In face, she liked relaxing him so much that she almost forgot about the pie again.  So, she got up, washed her hands, got the pie off the stove, took the pie out of the pan, put it on a plate and placed it on the table.
Tails took a deep sniff of the homemade apple pie Cosmo had made and licked his lips.
"This looks great, Cosmo," he said.
"Made it just for you," said Cosmo, placing some smaller plates, glasses and milk on the table.
She sat down and cut out a slice for Tails and herself.  As they both took up their first piece, they paused, looked at each other, then reached their forks across the table and fed their pieces to each other.  Both of them snickered in remark.

As soon as they had all the milk and pie they could eat, Cosmo got up, took all the dishes and glasses off the table and brought them over to the sink.  Tails got up to and put the milk and rest of the pie away in the fridge.  Cosmo then picked up the pan (which was still a bit hot) to wash as well.  Tails was just about to head over to the sink to help her, when Cosmo suddenly tripped.  The pan flew high in the air, and landed right on the fox's toes!
"OWWWWWWW!!!" Tails yelled.  He began hoping up and down on his right foot and holding onto his left foot the pan fell on.
Cosmo quickly grabbed hold of Tails and had him sit down.  Tails continued to hold his foot, with his eyes squeezed shut.
"I'm so sorry!" said Cosmo.
She took Tails' foot from out of his grasp and tried kissing his sore toes better.  She then took off for a few seconds, and then came back with some disinfectant and bandages.  She sprayed a bit of disinfectant over his toes, and then began to apply the bandages.  Tails opened his eyes a bit, but then opened them wide open when he saw that Cosmo was weeping.
"I'm so sorry," she said once again.  "This is all my fault."
"Don't say that, Cosmo," said Tails.  "These things happen."
"But if hadn't taken your shoes off in the first place…" Cosmo sobbed.
"But I decided not to put them back you when you asked me to," Tails interrupted her.  "Let's talk about it in my room."

So when Cosmo finished bandaging Tails' foot, she helped him get upstairs and onto his bed.  He then asked her to climb on as well next to him.  So Cosmo did.  He eyes were still watery.
"You've got nothing to be sorry about," Tails told her.  "I liked the way you played around with my feet earlier."
"You did?" Cosmo sniffed.
"Sure, I wouldn't have wanted this any other way," Tails told her.  "I only want you to be happy.  So please don't feel bad, or I'll feel bad as well."
Cosmo's frown turned into a smile.  Her tears of guilt turned into tears of joy.  She fell gently on top of Tails and hugged him, and he too put his arms around her.

"Say, I know what can make everything better," said Tails, after a whole minute of hugging.  He then moved his right leg closer towards him, with his sole flat on the bed and his knee pointing towards the ceiling.
"Didn't we make a promise earlier that we'd have some more 'fun' after dinner?" Tails said as he wiggled his toes.
"After what recently happened?" Cosmo replied.
"Yeah, if we some fun with those on one foot, it may help forget the pain on the other for both of us," Tails advised.
"Well, if it will make you feel better, than sure," said Cosmo.
"Great!" Tails responded.  "Hey, did I ever tell you how I got tickled by that lady at the fair?"
Cosmo shook her head.
"Well, first she tickled me on the abdomen and then the knee.  Then she decided to tickle my toes and took off my shoe and sock.  But before tickling, she rubbed her hands together and then rubbed them against my toes, one hand at a time.  Something about "warming them up" for the tickling," Tails explained.
"And is that what you'd like me to do, rub your toes?"  Cosmo asked.
"Oh yes," Tails replied.  "Besides, they're feeling a bit cold from the kitchen floor."
"Well, your wish is my command," said Cosmo, and rubbed her hands together.
Once her hands were warm enough, Cosmo placed her right hand over Tails' toes and rubbed it across them and back.
"Hmmmmmmm," Tails moaned in pleasure.  "Man, that feels nice!"
A few seconds later, Cosmo stopped rubbing his toes with her right hand, then immediately starting rubbing them with her left hand.
"You're very good at this," Tails said to Cosmo.

About ten seconds later, Cosmo stopped rubbing.
"I believe now would be a good time for another tickle?!" she asked.
"If you must," Tails answered.
With that, Cosmo began tickling Tails' toes with her fingers.
"Heeheeheeheeheeheehee Hahahahahahahahahaha!" Tails laughed.
Cosmo continued to tickle Tails' toes for another twenty seconds, and then she stopped to give Tails a breather.
She giggled and snuggled up to him.
"I don't remember ever having such a fun day.  Spending the whole day with you, having fun at the fair with you, playing with you and your tootsies," she said, moving back to wear his foot was and placing her hand on his toes.
She then climbed onto the bed, in front of his foot.  She looked at him, let out another giggle, then leaned over and kissed him on his big toe.  Tails let out a giggle himself and blushed as she then kissed him on each of his other toes.

"Oh, Tails?" Cosmo asked.  "Could you wiggle your toes while flat on the bed like before?"
And without even saying a word, Tails began wiggling his toes on the bed, in front of Cosmo.
"So cute," Cosmo admired.  But suddenly, he face dropped and turned towards Tails' injured foot.
She looked down close to his foot and said, "Of course, you're all just as cute, too!"
"Don't worry, Cosmo," Tails told her.  "Remember, they're my toes as well."
"Of course," Cosmo replied, putting her smile back on.  "They're all yours!"
She then crawled back over to his other foot, and held it up with his heel in her hands.
"Could you wiggle your toes again, so I see it from this end now?" Cosmo asked him.
Again without saying a word, Tails began to wiggle his toes, and Cosmo once again stared in awe.  Tails felt relaxed and satisfied of Cosmo's pleasure, and began to relax.  But his relaxation soon turned into laughter, as Cosmo began tickling his toes from underneath without warning.
"Tickle, tickle, tickle!" Cosmo went, as Tails laughed out loud.

However, even though he was caught in laughter, Tails still realized that Cosmo hadn't secured his foot.  So he quickly pulled it away, and shoved it under the covers.
But just then, Cosmo looked at him right in the eye and said, "Don't think that's gonna stop me!"
And before Tails could speak, Cosmo climbed under the covers and went straight for his foot.  He tried to get it away from her, but she already gotten hold of his leg, and the struggle tickled him.
Finally Cosmo grabbed hold of Tails' foot.  And just as he started begging her to stop it, she blew a raspberry on his foot, in the center where his toes meet the rest of his foot.  Tails laughed, not just because it tickled, but because it was funny.
After that, Cosmo began kissing Tails all over the rest of his foot, then up his leg, across his stomach and up his chest.  Until finally she popped out from under the covers and kissed him on the lips.
She laid there for a few moments, just staring at him.  Then she helped him get his injured foot carefully into the bed.
"Oh, Tails," Cosmo admired him, lying right next to him.  They quickly fell asleep in each others arms, and didn't let go or wake up till the next morning.
