"One particularly vicious feature of the Lady Grimhilde's fortress is a life size proscenium where what appear to be glass marionettes of various color act out scenes for visitors. On occasion those guests are nobles and merchants that oppose her interests. It is in those cases that the truth is revealed, with the glass pulling back from the puppets' faces to reveal loved ones of the guests- living hostages used to give incentive for ending their opposition. For their part, the puppets rather enjoy being used, as much as their suppressed minds can."
