Regardless if/why this was a Pick of the Week, I think its fantastic!
Overall this scene is incredible! The lighting, highlights and shodows are very accurate and there are lots of small details to catch your eye and keep the viewer interested in the scene. Great work!
I have just a few suggestions if you'll have them
-First, there is only one ting that looks really out of place in this scene is the cobweb on the door. Although from a techinical point of view, it would be difficult to get out of the house without disturbing the web, that's not why I think it looks out of place
-Second, I noticed someone else mentioned how the model was supposed to be the focal point of the image. In this scene, the model IS the focal point, but I find my eye is constantly drawn towards the house, and for a couple reasons. The biggest reason the house draws so much attention is because of the steps and candles beneath it. The human eye is naturally drawn to repeated objects and textures, so the steps and the textures on them, along with the candles help to pull the eye away from the woman. The other main element drawing the eye towards the house, is the ray of light. Because the light is pointing past the woman, it almost seems to point at the house. My eye follows the light to the house and then searches around there. The light sort of suggests that the house has some importance. It's minor, yes, but it helps to draw the eye away and that's probably why the woman has lost so much of teh attention in the scene. There could actually be a very easy way to fix this though - if you were to adjust the ray of light (or add another) aiming at the woman, it would mean you could make her colours brighter and more vibrant, which would definitely make here more of the focus 
Otherwise quite honestly I think this is incredible. There is a considerable amount of effort and talent put into this that we would definitely want to see more of in future Contests+Challenges. My apologies if I sounded harsh or offended in my cirique it was not intention at all - it always seems to come across that way

Requested Critique: This is just a beautiful work and there are many elements that I like, but as a judge I can see why it wasn't a main pick: One; the challenge was for something "dark", which means night, very dark colors and moonlight that has a specific aim in the deviation. Two; the model was supposed to be the main focus of the entry in the challenge and the scene is rather extensive.... attractive and wonderfully done, but a bit overwhelming as it pertains to the model.
The challenges have very specific rules and the judges are told to pay attention to the requirements. If a deviation doesn't meet the requirements, then those are not to be considered for a "Pick of the Week". I can see why this was chosen as a "favorite", but I can, also see why it wasn't a main pick since it didn't fit the criteria precisely.
