Description He had warned her about the book. Now it was too late. Lost in a deep slumber, Sara ventured through the darkness in her mind, replaying the parts of the book she had just read. Unbeknownst to her, the book itself was destroying her mind, searching for vital information about what she knew of the realm of Celestria. The birthplace of this monster.
Although she knew nothing of this world, it kept searching; destroying whatever was of no use to it. Slowly the darkness would engulf her, and she would be dead by morning.

What junk this thing clings hopelessly onto, the book thought, with the mists of time swirling around its pages, aiding it to edge on. The vines from the book’s spine wrapped themselves tighter around Sara’s head, digging deeper than before. This is hopeless, it thought, starting to uncurl its vines, when suddenly Sara started to stir. Tighter and tighter the vines wrapped themselves to her head, attempting to stop her from waking, to stop its mission. She rose higher from her pillow, her eyelids flickering. Soon she would fully wake, dazed and notice the vines. Into a garbage can it would be thrown, to be killed and disposed of. Pages torn, roots destroyed and No, it couldn’t let it happen. It was do or die.
Finally with one final push, she collapsed. The vines wilted a little, weeping from the great struggle.

Suddenly it found something of use. She, this lowly life form, of all things has been to the Gateway! The book, enraged, almost destroyed her memory of it, but stopped just in time. Was that an Edigilon it could see in the shadows? What did they want with her? It peered closer, and found that she was a great believer in mythology. A lab rat for the Edigilons, really. Well I won’t let you have this specimen, she knows too much. ‘Mythology’! Ha! And with that, her memory was erased and the darkness won. After a long mission, no matter how many deaths it took, the realm of Celestria would remain hidden. Away from contamination and the humans. The mission completed, the book would return to the realm, successful. Nothing could stop them now. The rebirth of Earth or Ragnarok, would take place in but a full cycle of the moon, and Celestria could extend.

The book lay waiting for the morning, on the cold, lifeless hand of the late Sara Scandia.

Maybe I'll do another version of this, except more in-depth. What do you think?
