You know, until I discovered Guptill89, I never realized just how nuts the fanbase really was. To be fair, I'm fully aware that not EVERY Sonic fan is a messed up individual, but this unfortunate reputation makes the good fans look bad. I really do feel bad for them.

Yeah...Here's how I see a typical fandom: First we have a demographic of fans who are like a Denis the Menace-type of neighborhood kid. You know the kind, always trying to make their limited range of travel more exciting, namely the neighborhood (Taking the role of the Internet). ANTI-fans are like the bratty little brother always trying to ruin his plans. Then you have someone in OUR demographic: the older brother (Around 14 or so) making sure their rivalry doesn't escalate to the point of the neighborhood burning to the ground. The Brony community for example...I could tell you stories, man, from the Save Derpy movement to Twi first becoming an Alicorn, all the way to speculations of the EG movie before it even hit theaters...Unless you're already a Brony and have been through all of this.
