Lightyear was probably the most disappointing movie I saw in 2022. Here are 5 things I would have done to fix it.

1. Make Zurg Buzz's father. I really hate what they did to Zurg in this movie and I think it would have been better if they had made Zurg Buzz's father who was believed to be dead for many years.

2. A better balance between humor and seriousness. I feel that this movie takes itself way too seriously and the humor flet forced in. I think would been better if they had a better balance between humor and seriousness and maybe try to make the movie more campy and colorful and maybe have it as a homage to old space adventure movies and TV shows like Flash Gordon.

3. Have better side characters. The side characters weren't very interesting or memorable aside from Sox.

4. Add some aliens. I kind of wish that the little green aliens from the Toy Story movies were in this movie but I also would have accepted new aliens races too. Maybe some of them joined Star Command and others joined Zurg.

5. Have Buzz more personality. Buzz in this movie wasn't a terrible character but he could be been better. I think he should have been more of a parody of the space marine heroes from the 80's and 90's sci-fi films.
