So I had a theory after drawing Infinite. I think that he's a wolf. Reason being: He bares similarity to the custom hero that is a wolf, similarities being the shape of head as well as the shape of the tail. Also when you look at the cutscene he is in, when he tilts his head downwards the helmets shape looks just like the custom heroes character's head.Also, the fact that he is called "Infinite" made me think: "What if he himself is a customisable character" and that the bad guy in the game has an infinite possibility to the way he looks (as changed by the player).
Also, what if Infinite is an evil version of the customization character from another dimension? Ok that last one is a stretch, but those are the things percolating in my head!
What do you guys think? This is all just speculation, be interested to here what y'all think

Interesting thought. However, other customizable characters that were shown weren't wolves. There was a bunny one I believe. So, a little debunking, but I love the idea.

He looks more like a fennec fox, I like this theory but I think the tail would give it away if it was a bunny character, for example. Unless it's an outfit accoutrement.

My theory could be that both are from another world that was destroyed, and the custom hero is teaming with both Sonics so the same fate won't happen to the blue blur's.

I think he's a Fennec fox because of the ears and theres also and Egyptian god Fennec Fox claimed to be the God of Chaos and destruction (I think his name was Sete, or Sett or something I don't remember) but aaa I thought this same thing too^ he looks really similar to the custom character, I'm really interested in seeing what he is

It's definitely plausible. Honestly, I would like to see the two having some connection, but I think it'd be even more twisted if Infinite here was the one who brought our custom character into existence.

Aw, thanks Dredge. ^^ Well, that's a tough question. Breaking the fourth wall moreso refers to the characters being aware that we as an audience exist and that they understand they are merely a form of entertainment. Having Infinite be a creator wouldn't really break the fourth wall unless they address us as the audience directly. I think it'd be more like the relationship between Gerald and Shadow if anything. It kind of makes me think of the relationship between Rubirules and Nylocke in Season 2 of TOME. Even though Rubi made the model Nylocke uses, it's Nylocke who makes the dragon knight character come to life through his roleplaying and dedication to the Terrain of Magical Expertise. It's the person who uses the character that brings them to life.
