This is a large set of poses I've been working for a few days.
Right now, I'm working on FRONT and SIDE views.

YES... I know many of these heads are too small, but I'm studying body anatomy, not head sizes. =/

I was wondering if I could link you to a post I'm making regarding safe references for some of my younger followers on anatomy studies? That way they aren't finding some X rated content.

Is it okay for me to use some of your line art for poses to draw? I have the hardest time doing poses in general and have no problem with faces. ^_^' I know it's strange... But if it's okay with you, I would like to use some of this for my characters. Can I have your permission?

Great work! The only thing I disagree with is your comment: " I'm studying body anatomy, not head sizes."
A part of anatomy is body proportion and that includes the head so much as the pinky toe. It may seem tedious, but you spare yourself a lot of pain if you never omit proportion until you are comfortable with reality well enough to be able to play with proportion itself and create cartoony figures.

Did you just photo them, not scanned? They are kinda distorted

Dredogol In reply to effulgent-smile [2010-01-15 01:10:18 +0000 UTC]

Scanned.
Also, sometimes, when I draw, they get distorted length wise.
Probably because of the angle I'm drawing them in. =/

Over the years I've realized that happened to me too, so I started placing my sketchpads in my lap then just kind of lean back against a wall or a pile of pillows so that the drawing surface is parallel to my face...I also had to learn to draw without leaning my hand on the paper for this to work lol, but anyway, your work on this set of poses will definitely help alot of people, me included

That problem is gradually going away... but it DOES go away over time, with practice. Just best to learn/adjust with the current posture/position, IMHO.
Also, glad to hear you find these useful.

I've been enjoying these sketches. Very nice; usually I'm too lazy to do things like this.
