Just a quick picture of a young pup Daithi all on his own, venturing out of the den he called home for so long. He's probably just a little over six weeks old here... but even from then he was "Alone."He would sneak out from his den early in the morning, to him this was simply normal. He never knew his parents, nor did he have anyone to really raise him. In fact, the concept of family was only recently learned when he started to learn how to speak and comprehend words by watching other creatures communicate.
The only reason he was capable of living up to today was because he was left food at night(by his real mother) and unknown to him, watched over as he slept. But he was also close enough to a pack that he was able to watch them interact. At the time, he had no idea they too were wolves, like him. They were just giant creatures that interested him, like he wanted to be close... but never brought himself to meet them (even though it was very likely that they were his mother's pack mates, if not his mother and some of her pack mates that he'd end up watching).
