Link has beaten many foes throughout the years...but this battle is different...he feels it. He knows something is different from this enemy. Unlike Gannondorf...unlike anything...he has every fought and killed...link vs the beast....

I'll say it. Link would lose to ANYONE that can chain up attacks. How about the Ghost of Sparta, tho can hit 8 times IN HIS MOST BASIC COMBO?! Not to mention that the Blades ignore human armor (Rhodes soldiers, anyone?)...

Yeah, sure. He WOULD last even a little, but would be defeated in a very gory way (nothing personal, just Kratos' way of taking care of business).
But, why is Kratos' face so... weird? Had problems with the lines?
Come to think of it, a better title would be "The Beast and the God"...

As a Zelda fan, I love the kid as much as the next guy, but as a God of War fan, I can only say that I still know Link's limits. it's nice to know that there's another who shares my love for both these series.
I notice you have Kratos' weapons held with one in an underhand style in the same style as Pit in SSBB. Coincidence?

I think it was intentional. Kratos may be playing defensively here (reverse grip is excellent for defense), even if only to gauge Link's level of ability.

My top two favorite videogame heros (okay Kratos isn't too "heroic" but you get the picture). That'd be a kickass fight to see them engage one another. I'm not saying Link couldn't beat him, but as far as videogame characters go, I honestly see Kratos as the perfect warrior. Link though to me is the perfect hero.
