Not at first glance, but, According to Bryan Konietzko and Ian Graham, Jhonen Vasquez was a big fan of anime, which influenced the show a lot. Mostly through angles and speedlines.

I understand what you're saying, but some people like seeing them in anime style. It's not like they're forcing you to look at their drawings. I like seeing them in all kinds of styles people can come up with. Just to give more variety, you know? Lots of people do anime versions of different cartoons. Other times, people are just drawing them in their own style; that way their being more original rather than stealing the original style. I'm not saying that you're wrong or anything, just that your conclusion isn't always the case.

I'm afraid I can't stop this conversation, as if it's not turning into an arguement, until I'm satisfied with the results of things to come. I agree.
But people can draw in anime if they like. It's not like anyone's stopping them.
I'm not trying to prove a point here. I'm just saying.
Plus, I'm working on a picture of Zim right now. Ir's not suppose to be in anime, I'm drawing him more in a slightly realistic but still kinda cartoony style. At least I'm trying to.
I WOULD draw in Jhonen's style if it wasn't so hard for me. >.<
