A little bit more animation practice, here's one that was originally done by .

I saw the original sprite in his gallery and asked if I could tweak it a little bit. He said, "Yeah," and here we are!

So what did I do with this sprite that Botchan did not? Well, I took the base animation ([link] ) and added a "smear" frame between her windup to the pose and the full stretch when she first hits it. I feel it helps smooth out the animation a little bit. And just for fun, I made her sticking out her tongue.

So what did I learn this time? I learned how to use smear frames and how to make something look "floppy" (i.e. the tongue). All in all, I'm pleased with it.
