What ever happened to this series? Only issue 1 came out and then it disappeared. I was so upset...

I'm sorry, VeeBunny. It looks like the writer and artist are slackers.
What probably happened is that they got busy with other stuff (because face it, this creator-owned comics thing just doesn't pay well for a lot of people). I think C.B. Cebulski ended up doing more work with Marvel. I'm not sure what Mr. Hamamoto is doing, but I know he updates his DeviantArt page a lot! Go have a look maybe

It's so bright and inviting! Do you choose all of the colours? I like the harmony of them with your bold compass design on the back.

The artist gave me the front cover art by itself. I had to do all the rest of the designing, and choosing the colors for the back cover, any logos or other things that go on the art. I wish I could take credit for the picture of the girls, but that's all Ryusuke's beautiful work.

I think we got this in the week before last, I wonder how it's doing... Based on the Previews ads, I thought the concept and character designs were undeniably sweet.

I'm not sure the overall orders from retailers are very high, unfortunately. Which is odd, because manga typically does well. The problem is that it's a saddle-stitched comic book, instead of a perfect-bound digest-sized volume. Oh well, I hope it continues to stay alive, because I enjoyed designing it and would l like to continue changing it and maybe improving on it as time goes by.

I lost my Compass #0. D'oh! I'm glad you were able to attend Comic Con and meet Ryusuke. Compass #1 should be in stores in about a month! Can't wait to see the final book in print. Go Team Compass!

I'm pretty sure you'll be able to get it in England, silly. It's Image Comics, after all!
Speaking of England, did you get a chance to speak with Jamie McKelvie and Kieron Gillen? A couple of my good Brit pals who were also at the Image booth. They worked on a book called Phonogram, and a Jamie's releasing a new book from Image called Suburban Glamour in a month. You should definitely look for their stuff, since it's definitely British-centric.

Nice. There's a bit of a blurry line on the black-haired witch's hair and on the brunette's eyes, but I think that might just be the pictures.
Well, I'm interested. Is there anywhere I can better find out about the book?

I'm not sure I see the blurry lines. Though it's probably due to this being crunched way down for web view. Originally this is 400 dpi. When it's printed, I don't think the line your seeing will look the same. At least, I hope so. Haha.
Actually, I'd prefer the artists to make their art at 600 dpi, but I can only work with what I'm given... a lot of the time it's not print-ready and I have to do a lot of fixing... such is life in comic production.
As for finding out more about the book, you can Google "Cebulski + Compass" and a bunch of stuff comes up.
And, I just looked... Ryusuke Hamamoto is on DeviantArt! Haha! Here's the link: [link]
Gonna go add him right now.
