I really like Garage Band. That's a surprisingly versatile little program! But I generally like my PC, so I'm fine.

Hi there.
I didn't find any license and also any contact on you, so I just write it to the comments.

I am developing little game as semester project in my university. Would you mind me to use this picture in this game? That game will be free so I can only give you back link in about window and of course I will mention you as the author. Please, let me know, if that is ok with you.

Hey there!

What is the nature of the game? How will the image be used?

antonindanek In reply to DrewGreen [2009-06-12 21:32:21 +0000 UTC]

It's Battleships like game except there will be no ships but algorithms. It's somthing like IT version of this game.

Your image of the computer would represnt players and opponents computer.

Yeah, go ahead and use it. Just be sure to credit me (my name is Andrew Green) and put a link to my gallery somewhere associated with the game, if that's possible.

Great pic, very funny! I love Mac, it's my favorite system. If I have to use a PC, it's gonna be my HP, I love HP! I prefer my Imac over my PC, but everyone has their preference, right? I use both efficiently and love my HP and my Mac the same, but my HP usually fucks up way more than my Mac and when that happens, I switch to my Mac. The only reason I like Mac more is because they fuck up less than Windows.

DrewGreen In reply to mattmurderface [2009-04-10 21:32:32 +0000 UTC]

I can use both, and I'm less biased now than I used to be. But I dunno, I still prefer Windows to Mac. I've never used a Mac that didn't give me immense troubles, and I know Windows a little better so I guess I'm used to it.

But like you said, everyone has a preference. ;D

mattmurderface In reply to DrewGreen [2009-04-11 23:10:22 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I hear ya. I use both as well. I have an HP G60 with Windows Vista and Intel T4200 dual core processors and 250GB of hard drive space with 3GB of Ram and it's pretty rockin. I still like my Mac a lot more though. It's the complete opposite here, evry Windows that I've ever used has given me a shit load of problems and Mac usually doesn't, plus I know Mac better.

Exactly, that's why I don't try to change people's opinions, I just provide an alternative view.

Well, to be fair, I find that PCs that are hooked to the internet are more prone to viruses and therefor more prone to acting stupid (my art PC in my room is not hooked up to the internet for that reason and has given me few troubles for the many years I've had it). So PCs aren't perfect, that's for sure. ;D

mattmurderface In reply to DrewGreen [2009-04-12 23:47:55 +0000 UTC]

Well, there's only one reason that Macs are more efficient is that they only run their OS on 1 computer, while Windows runs on several different computers. If Windows made their own computer, it would run awesomely!

DrewGreen In reply to mattmurderface [2009-04-14 00:49:57 +0000 UTC]

That's a good point, and one I hadn't considered. Come to think of it, Window's doesn't have first-party hardware.

mattmurderface In reply to DrewGreen [2009-04-14 01:55:38 +0000 UTC]

Yes, and that's exactly why I prefer Mac. Since OSX runs on one computer, it's more efficient. Another advantage that Mac has over Windows is the dual boot feature. It is possible to make a PC dual bootable, but it requires that YOU do the work and Mac comes standard with dual boot right out of the box!

Well, as soon as I get into art school, I'll have no choice but to use Macs, so there you go. The war is won, I suppose. ^_^

But seriously, I like Macs a little more now that Iv'e gotten to know the one I use at school in my art class. I still like Windows better for certain things, but I can see the Mac's merits.

Supal33t In reply to DrewGreen [2007-03-27 08:53:00 +0000 UTC]

Its getting to the point where Macs are becoming the superior system,Better parts, better operating system and even things like Microsoft excel can be put on macs. Even games are becoming more 'mac aware'.

And the best part is, The Newest macs have intel processors, Which means they can run Both Windows and OSX, NO Emulators!!

So, even though they are good at Art,Media (Film and TV) and all the other artsy stuff, you should seriously consider getting a Mac for your own personal use,Plus OSX is actually easier to use than windows once you get used to it

well, theres some food for thought, Hope you give that some thought

Like I said before, I'll have no choice but to use a Mac because of the school I'm going to (a type of art school). I'm actually looking foward to the experience.

I'm sure I'll convert. But for now, I'll be a "consumer," not a "professional." I simply dont have the money for it.

When I leave school, I'll probably be a Mac person.

MAN! How can you possibly hate Macs? Now Apple, that's a different story these days, unfortunately. Macintosh and Apple were two sides of the same coin while I was growing up, but now Macintosh has fallen by the wayside and Apple has become so like Microsoft as to be unrecognizable! I still remember the halcyon days when Macs were the bastion of simplicity, hardiness and not-selling-out-to-Microsoft-ness.

I'd have taken you for a Mac-Head!

DrewGreen In reply to Artoveli [2005-12-23 02:05:01 +0000 UTC]

No, I'm certainly not. Not having the ability to use the right-click unless you buy a nifty mouse bothers me. And everything is so disturbing on Macintosh Computers.

Funny thing is, my mom and stepdad ARE Mac-heads, so going over to their house is like entering this whole different realm. ^_^

strangely enough It's mostly modders and Gamers that have that view, Most professionals (video, visual, audio) on the other hand recognise a macintosh for what it is, a Computer... yes, I will admit they tend to be a little more expensive as far as what you're getting, but if you want something to hate, look towards windows... many, including myself regard their business practices as wrong and paralegal, if not outright evil and illegal. Unfortunately when you're a company owned by the wealthiest man in the world You can get away with anything... I have no doubt that Bill Gates could "Legally" get away with throwing babies into woodchippers on national Television and not even see so much as a trial... That's just my view, and I hate to see people Give Apple shit when the monopoly that is trying to spread into every fascet of our lives has already gotten us by our throats if you don't agree Look at how far they've already gotten: at least 90% of Computers sold today come with windows Pre-installed, Xbox and Xbox 360 are among the most successful gaming platforms, Verizon is part of the MSN network, it features the MSN Butterfly in it's commercials NBC no longer exists, it is now been derranged into MSNBC and the list goes on... This isn't even the part that bothers me. What bothers me is how they have gotten this far. Their business practices. In many a case comanies will create a business deal with microsoft, allowing Microsoft employees into thier company to help them develop a product. Low and behold, Days before that company releases their product, Microsoft comes out with a product who's code is almost identical. Usually they don't resort to this because most of the time they can just buy out anybody who is making something they want. Among the most frustrating things about this is that they tend not to finish the product. They leave it in a pseudo-finished state, just good enough for release, and any bugs quirks and errors become the user's fault and are almost never dealt with. I'm not asking you not to hate apple, I don't even want to know why you hate apple, but if you know, in your heart that it is for a reason that is not worse than what Microsoft is doing, than I ask you to at least add microsoft to the list of software companies you hate.

DrewGreen In reply to Oroborus [2005-12-23 02:18:21 +0000 UTC]

Well, the only reason I hate Macintosh is because I'm so used to everything on Windows that I'm comfortable with it. I dont like Bill Gates very much and to me, the XBOX and any demon spawn of it is the worst thing to enter the gaming industry. But I try not to think about the political/business side of what computer I'm using simply because I prefer to make images on what I'm used to. It has nothing to do with anything else for me.

It's nice to see that have done your research and have such a strong opinion. But my opinion is not very strong. I just dont like the way things are laid out on a Mac. That's all.

And the irony is, this image was concieved on a Mac. How crazy is that?!

Thanks for posting.

Personally, I think every Windows user should spend a week with a Mac computer, just to give it a real test.

I think most of them would prefer the Mac after a couple days.

But that's just me!

Also, I REALLY love this peice. The face is so good~!

DrewGreen In reply to RustyGonzo [2007-02-20 22:32:51 +0000 UTC]

I'm glad you like it!

Iv'e warmed up to Macs a bit. I use them a lot at school in our computer lab, and theyr'e not so bad. But I still prefer Windows. It's just how Iv'e always worked.

But to be honest, I think it's more important to be able to know how to use both of them rather than one or the other. This way I can do anything a job might throw in my direction because I'm up-to-speed with both. I think that's more useful than knowing just one of them inside-out because of a biased opinion.

RustyGonzo In reply to DrewGreen [2007-02-20 22:34:58 +0000 UTC]

Mhm! I see things the same way. I mean, right now I'm using a PC, but... it's not as if I really want to be. However, I know how to use 'em and that's a great skill (if you can call it that) to have.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DrewGreen In reply to RustyGonzo [2007-02-20 22:37:52 +0000 UTC]

I would call it that. I know a lot of my fellow students can make heads or tales of a Macintosh computer, and some of them swear by it. Those who can use both will never have to turn down an oppurtunity based on that simple factor.

But if you think about it, the two aren't really that different.

RustyGonzo In reply to DrewGreen [2007-02-20 22:43:44 +0000 UTC]

Oh well of course not; they're still computer's, right? It's only an OS, really. Not much difference between them, especially since Gates keeps stealing ideas from OS X for Vista. ):

thanks for a cool, level headed response I can understand why you'd feel that way. Though They DO make a version of Windows that can run on a mac, I wouldn't reccomend it, Apples tend to be somewhat more expensive than your average Windows Machine.
