Hey folks!I had a friend over last night and, as it usually happens, I ended up drawing him because...well, that's what I do.
This is Will. He is an opera major at a FL university, and he's pretty awesome.
Just a quick little character piece (which seems to be the norm in my gallery lately). Enjoy!

Although I don't care for the show and I don't necessarily like the way the characters are designed (nor do I necessarily hate it), I definitely won't take that as an insult. I think you meant it in a good way. ;D

Me too. It was a really clever way to incorporate the almost narrator-like songstresses often featured in Greek tragedies (there's a name for them, but I can't recall it right now).

Heh, I think you're right. Every time I think of the chorus, I think of the 80s musical, "Little Shop of Horrors," as that film had a small gaggle of black girls with big voices singing along to the action. ;D

That song gets stuck in my head on a weekly basis, I think. Perhaps it's because of the lead actress's horrible voice...and the fact that when she hits the big notes, her face looks like she's having an orgasm. XD

I like what you've done with his beard+hair. It looks like it very subtlety transitions into that darker color, much like hair tends to do in real life. Wicked. .o. And as always, you've perfected the art of simplifying and expressing the most important characteristics of people in a cartoon form c:

Great shading on the beard vs, his hair. Those opera singers usually have some girth to hold those big fat notes for as long as they do. Nice work, I hope he liked it too.
