Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). Southern Vietnam - Southeast Asia.I was fascinated by how cluttered the built-up residential areas were, everything seemed to be jammed in as compact as possible and some of the higher buildings reaching up towards the sky obviously to save space. I don't usually do much tilt-shift photography but I really liked the effect applied to this shot. The miniature effect has manipulated the scale of the city, but in my eyes it captures exactly the atmosphere and scale of the place you feel when standing up overlooking the city. The closet thing I could think of that it reminded me of was lego.

I think the blur could be perfect if you put it in the background

The blur is from an effect called title shift which transforms the everyday scene into a miniature world. I applied the effect for this reason. I also have a version without the tilt shift effect.
