Bamboo Rafter inside Tham Lod Cave, Northern Thailand.

Another photo from the spectacular Tham Lod Cave, Northern Thailand along the Mae Hong Son region. There are no kayakers for scale in this image like my previous shot, instead a bamboo raft with a local guide float patinetly at the exit of the cave. He was waiting for tourists to jump aboard for a ride up the river, which runs straight through the middle of the cave system. These guys take people through the cave constantly, stopping at all 3 caverns to let people off to explore inside the cave. I just loved how easy going, down to earth and friendly they were, always smiling and always having a good time even if it meant sitting around waiting for most of their day.
