As long as you use the Linear Dodge setting on the magic layer, you should be fine. The Linear Dodge setting really makes the Patronus layer shine. You may add a little bit of blue or purple hue to the silver so it doesn't look too flat as well. But definitely go with whatever works best for your drawing!

Thanks ^-^
The only problem is, that I use Paint Tool Sai and I don't think it has a Linear Dodge setting. I'm working with 1-2 Luminosity layers for now and that seems to work out. Also I decided to stick with a simple blue background for now.

You've reminded me that I need to update the tutorial. I am working on it now. I'll try to keep from using program-specific methods because lots of people don't have photoshop, or even tablets. P:

I really wish I had photoshop so I could do this. I need it for a set of tattoos and it is no good trying to do it traditionally!

I don't know how I would draw without Photoshop anymore. I feel like it's a crutch that I shouldn't be using anymore. LOL

Oh dear, I don't ever use Paint, so I'm not really familiar with it.
It's a very very basic editing program, so it probably wouldn't look very good if I used it. D:

No problem!
If I might suggest, try to make the Patronus' trails less restricted, and let them branch out a bit more. Try not to leave so much background, unless you have something more IN the background. And also, if it helps, I looove making long, flowing strokes instead of shorter ones. It really helps to get a sense of rhythm and fluidity!
But I honestly think this one is much better than your first! I like that you didn't make the Patronuses so bright this time. It looks much better when you can see those lines in there, more like silvery-liquid magic and less like lightning. Great job!
