Description Yeah, and my next few deviations will involve Pokemon as well. I've been drawing Tom, Scott (not Simon because he's too hard for the stuff I'm drawing at the moment), and Dreyfus, but they aren't turning out too well at the moment. So I didn't scan them yet.

Anyway, this picture is notorious for the amount of files I have made out of it. More than any other! I'm trying to make my deviations more appealing by sprucing them up with monochrome, sepia, and inverted stuff, but my love of color just continuously prevents me from uploading them! So I uploaded a scenic version instead.

Everybody who knows Pokemon knows Squirtle, I hope. He's my favorite Water Pokemon (at least, not including Vaporeon, Omanyte, and Relicanth), and is famous among players for being one of the cutest Pokemon out there. I always pick Squirtle when I don't pick Bulbasaur at the beginning of Blue/LeafGreen. Never Charmander... Noah always chooses Charmander, that's why. And I dislike Charizard, so....yeah. Squirtle is cute, and Blastoise beats the crap out of Pokemon. That's all that matters. Don't give me that, "But Wartortle is cool too!" because Wartortle just doesn't do it for me. It is always either Squirtle or Blastoise. No, just shut your mouth. Enough with the Wartortle (though it is above the halfway point for my favorite Pokemon).

I spruced this picture up by doubling its height and adding clouds, a water effect, and water itself. BUT now for some trivia:
Ever since an image earlier than this one which I have been coloring for this whole week but still isn't done, all these clothing-wearing Pokemon have been wearing Pokemon-colored clothes. So what is Squirtle wearing? Squirtle has Blastoise-colored pants (we all would love him to wear long jeans, but they are and must be jean shorts with those torn-like edges). I will point out such things in future deviations. Oh, and the water is Blastoise-colored too.

Now, then. What is going on in this picture? Squirtle is out in Lake Michigan (or some other lake; the Pokemon World does include North America, as Poliwraths can swim across the Pacific Ocean according to the Pokedex), wading about and searching for fish or whatever turtles eat. The lack of a shell is, believe it or not, a PUN on a similar character in the Mario series: Koopa. Koopas are turtles too. And in Paper Mario (and Super Mario World, for that matter), it is revealed that Koopas wear a-shirts and shorts under their shells (though Paper Mario refers to the shorts as underwear, in this case it shall be shorts). So, my Squirtles shall have a-shirts and shorts under their shells too! This means that it would be impossible to tell if this was an anthromorphic Squirtle or not, if it weren't for the Adam's Apple. Yes, I have started to include those on male humanoids (though this seems to make Dreyfus appear to have a weird neck ).

I need to remember this, so I'll just put it here so I will actually remember its existence:
Settings for Water Effect:
Distance - 49
Scale - 42
Blur Effect - 0

Pokemon in Picture
- Squirtle (shellless)

O_O I need to shorten these descriptions. And Shellless is such a weird word! THREE L's!

In Super Mario 64, the koopa troopa had a shirt on while the shell is off of him.

I really like this one also nice reflection on the water pretty beautiful. 👍: 0 ⏩: 0

Ah! That's what I was hoping for! I was so concerned about the shadows!

Wow, what a pretty reflection. You must be good to picture Squirtle without his shell too.

this one really good. It's little hard for me to tell if Squirtle is in the water or part of the sky. Maybe put some water behind him or something.
But other then that this is the best thing I seen you do!

Aw, thanks! I actually never planned on even using water until the last few moments of coloring this.

Nice, but you need to round out the head a little. It's soooo original!! A novel idea!!!!!

What's original? My picture, or were you being sarcastic and meant the head?

Anyway, yeah. The head does need rounding out a little; a future drawing fixed that, at least somewhat (this is sort of old, actually; drew it a week ago).

Well, if you meant the idea of a shellless Squirtle, then thanks a bunch!

Thank you. Though you may mean the wrong reflection.... I had meant the reflection of the light on Squirtle's scales.
