Meet Rivet. He's one of about 18 characters I'm throwing around for use in a thesis project of mine. The final project is going to use at least 6 of them. I started him this morning, and it took about 4 hours or so to model and rig. I wanted to try to get a full range of emotions with very limited facial movement capabilbility, so there are only three pieces of his face that actually move.Hope you like him! Textures and more to come eventually.

Yea man... I can't decide how I actually want to write the character... I'm thinking something along the lines of Uncle Leo from Seinfeld. You know, stereotypical old New York Jewish guy.

Yea, I really can't wait to get into the animation. I drew a bunch of robot design sketches and as soon as I saw this one on paper, I had to make him. And this actually wasn't anything like the design I had in mind when I started drawing... I just started with the eyebrows and he kinda drew himself from there.
