Description
Tangle is a physical representation of my life in 2003. My mother, father, and brother have all received doctorate degrees. They are all scholars, and I have always felt like the black sheep. With my new endeavor at CCAC I was feeling immense pressure to perform in school. Each poll represents a place or activity and the wrapping of the rope represents the temporal factor. I kept a journal of my activities for a week and used this to create tangle.Mahogany, aluminum, nautical rope

That's great! It looks like a crazy sculpture then you realize hey, it's a chair. It looks like it'd be comfortable too, with a hammock feel. My only question is, what's keeping the sticks apart? I keep imagining them collapsing together if you sit in them. This is really an enigma to me. hahaha.

thank you. the structure is provided by aluminum rods that have been covered with the outside braid of double braided nautical rope. if you look closely you can probably see that some of the rope is just a little too straight and stiff looking.

I saw this at maw and paws. I like it. I didn't know there was a story behind it. I feel you dog. I give you a double chest pump, two finger salute for what you've done and gone through to get where you are today. Nice work partner.
