Randomly decided to draw the gen 1 starters for no reason LOL.In my opinion these guys are the best starters all round, and no I'm not one of those idiots that dismiss anything beyond gen 1 as "unoriginal" or "stupid", it's just personally there's not one out of these three that I dislike unlike other gens where there's one or maybe two of the starters that I'm not keen on. For example in gen 2 I don't really care for chikorita but I absolutely love cyndaquil, his evolutionary line is my all time favorite when it comes to starter pokemon. I think that all makes sense...
I drew them more in my own style just to see how they'd turn out, I actually really like it! I've always seen bulbasaur as a kind of dinosaur lizard with hints of cat, mainly the ears, so I tried to reflect that here. Squirtle and charmander are obviously a turtle and a lizard so I drew 'em like that.
The scaly parts were inspired by wh1t3-t19Lightning 's work. She does awesome pokemon drawings!

I'm trying to think of what animal the tail is inspired by, jelly fish?Β
If you were to do what Cryptid creations does, with the Pokemon redesigns, you most definitely would get DA famous.Β
