Do you have instructions on how to make the beard or a pattern for any of your hats. I crochet and have a friend who is a huge dwarf fan and a hat like this would be a great gift.

It isn't very heavy, the whole thing weighs around 15oz. 7oz of that is beard 
It is however very warm.

Oh wow! I know someone who did a similar helm/beard combo and it was uncomfortably heavy. We joked they needed a neck brace to wear it!

yes :0 its itchy alright! my children for about a decade had them almost continually, they are head lice and they were ( the memory is still strong..
