Description The difference between the Doctor's analysis and Sherlock's analysis: Sherlock's is based on observation while the Doctor's is just knowledge.
The Doctor blames everything on aliens. Sherlock comes up with some long description about the person's whole life.
I made up a ton of rubbish for Sherlock's deduction. None of it makes any sense.
On the left is Rose, then the Doctor, Watson, and Sherlock. The dead person on the ground doesn't matter.

I knew that's what would happen if The Doctor tried to solve murders. It's always the daleks, or the stone angels or something to do with timey-whimey stuff. This is why The Doctor saves the universe rather being a detective.
If Sherlock traveled in the TARDIS:
Sherlock: I don't where we're going!
Watson: Sherlock, the earth revolves around the sun
Sherlock: Shut up John and help me control this thing!
