Dried-Apples — Save Our Show

Description I see this as a little tribute to the upcoming end of Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends: If you haven't heard, the show ended production earlier this year, and the last few episodes (and possibly another TV movie) will be shown the remaining months of 2008.

Personally, I'm sad to see it go: I've always found it an engaging and entertaining program that made good use of Macromedia Flash animation and such. Still, the creators and producers had a good run, and they're off pursuing other things now.

As for our dear Blooregard, I don't think he's too thrilled to have the show gone either, hence his picket sign and parading around to persuade us to save his show.

Your call, everybody: Save Foster's or Not? That's Bloo's question, go!

Credits!

Oh my gosh I used to love this show!!! I was so sad when it was taken off, you draw the characters really well!!! (haha I know this work is really old but I really really like it!)

It's nice to know you appreciate my older stuff. Most people don't pay mind to my older items.

Thanks for commenting!

I am upset to see this show go. It was one of Craig McCracken's best work ever created for Cartoon Network and the ONLY show that has any merit recently. I just don't like Chowder because it was the show that took away Foster's popularity.

I'm sad to see it go too: Again, it was a very well-done, innovative and entertaining program.

On Chowder: Well, something had to fill the void since Cartoon Network hardly reruns this show...for some reason, anymore.

Oh, thanks for faving!

No problem! I just don't like C.H. Greenblatt's work because he was the main reason why Spongebob started to suck when Nickelodeon Studios started to hire him in 2002, and he ruined Billy and Mandy in 2004.

Well, that's how you feel about the guy, so no hard feelings.

On Foster's, here's to hoping the show'll live on in reruns and on DVD.

True, I'm sad to see the show go too, since I've always enjoyed it over the years.

Still, we fans'll keep a part of it (and Bloo, too!) in our hearts...

I used to loved that show, now I don't even see the name anymore.

Aw, that sucks. Yeah, it's not as prominent on the Cartoon Network Schedule as it used to be.

They've got new shows to promote too, but it's still kinda unfair.

BlueInfernoTigon In reply to Dried-Apples [2008-11-18 23:46:28 +0000 UTC]

Guh, the old schedules were better, I mean what happened to Cartoon Cartoon Fridays? Apparently, Thursday is the new Friday, which sucks. X[

I don't know why they keep changing it. Personally, I loved the OLD cartoon Network better, plus it was run'd by cartoons, hence why it's called Cartoon Network. Now, they just show all this new crap, it's not Cartoon Network anymore.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Dried-Apples In reply to BlueInfernoTigon [2008-11-19 18:35:39 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I loved Cartoon Cartoon Fridays: Why'd they have to muck that up? Thursday's now the new Friday: That doesn't make sense. What's Friday, then?

Cartoon Network really is losing touch with what made their network in the first place, and that can't be good for them.

BlueInfernoTigon In reply to Dried-Apples [2008-11-20 02:09:58 +0000 UTC]

Cartoon Cartoon Fridays were the best. Hell, the Old Cartoon Network was better, period.

Cartoon Network is practically ruined now.

Dried-Apples In reply to BlueInfernoTigon [2008-11-20 22:39:24 +0000 UTC]

See, I always liked Cartoon Cartoon Fridays because we got to see all the characters from different shows interacting with each other. Now they don't do that anymore.

And, yes, I'd think they're pretty much screwed at this point. Heck, since Foster's not making new shows, the only thing keeping me there's "Chowder".

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

BlueInfernoTigon In reply to Dried-Apples [2008-11-21 04:33:19 +0000 UTC]

Agreed, that's another reason I loved the OLD Cartoon Network. I missed those memories.

They're COMPLETELY screwed, sometimes I watch "Chowder" but it doesn't fill the void.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Dried-Apples In reply to BlueInfernoTigon [2008-11-21 19:35:20 +0000 UTC]

Yes: As awesome and full of win as "Chowder" is, it can't make up for the fail that comprises the rest of the network.

Pity.

BlueInfernoTigon In reply to Dried-Apples [2008-11-21 23:08:01 +0000 UTC]

Cartoon Network just isn't the same anymore.

Pity, indeed.

Dried-Apples In reply to BlueInfernoTigon [2008-11-23 21:10:37 +0000 UTC]

If we're lucky, it'll be mostly cartoons with a few live-action shows tossed in. Not sure if they'll be any good or not, but still...

If not...then, they probably shouldn't be calling themselves Cartoon Network anymore.

I wouldn't really know, but that's what I think.

BlueInfernoTigon In reply to Dried-Apples [2008-11-25 22:34:06 +0000 UTC]

Yeah but there's too many anime shows coming on and most of them sucks...

Actually, I don't think I can call it Cartoon Network anymore.

I heard they're making an upcoming Foster's home special.

"Yeah but there's too many anime shows coming on and most of them sucks..."

Too true, too true.

I think they are doing a Foster's special (a TV movie, I believe?) that's supposed to air on Thanksgiving, so that's a plus.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

BlueInfernoTigon In reply to Dried-Apples [2008-11-27 06:02:30 +0000 UTC]

I mean, I like a few anime shows but more of them keeps coming like crazy and they practially push off old shows that used to be epic and entertaining.

I guess I'll see how this special turns out.

You cannot really blame them for moving on, it's evolution, and a form of change. i do know how painful this must be for a lot of people, but it wil, hopefully, still have its time on the air.

That's the worst. When a show leaves, and gets taken off. I'd rather watch endless reruns any day than to suffer that fate!

Farewell, but may the shows reruns exist in peace.

Dried-Apples In reply to wendikidwell [2008-11-17 23:27:16 +0000 UTC]

I'd rather watch the endless reruns too, and I hope the show gets treated well in the long run.

Besides, I'm pretty excited for Mr. McCracken's new project, "Cartoonstitute"- If that doesn't bring some fresh, creative stuff to Cartoon Network, I don't know what'll...

I hear "The Mighty B!" is going on Nicktoons Network! I'M SO FUCKING HAPPY, FUNNY TIME YAY! This means, IF it gets cancelled, it will still have a chance to continue with new episodes! I hear they are making new epsidoes of "My Life As A Teenage Robot" and that show has been cancelled, though, being cancelled, can offically be highly debated.
