Personality Traits:
{ Adventurous }
Flightpaw enjoys heading out into the world beyond Safe Haven, however dangerous it may be, and just exploring what little the world has to offer. He enjoys finding new places, discovering nature around him and simply enjoying the feeling of earth under his paws. It's because of this and his keen-eye that he's suited for being a Seeker someday, though he is also known for picking up various things that he isn't required to get.

{ Impulsive }
Playing up to his name, he enjoys feathers quite a bit and various other things because of how they look, or how they simply stand out and has made a habit of picking them up for himself on patrol. As long as he gets his job done, he will see no reason to stop this habit any time soon. Lately, this trait has also leaked into his emotions. When put under enough stress, Flightpaw will sometimes blurt out whatever he's feeling in order to soothe the situation. However, due to his... less than stellar speaking-skills, this usually makes things worse.

Though he doesn't seem like it often with his quiet and sour attitude, he does work hard to get what he needs to do done, and he enjoys knowing that he did it quickly and did it well. Despite some other cats being mean about it, he doesn't mind critiques on his work or how he does things; he just sees it as a way to make himself better or more skilled for the future.

Since the fall of Babylon and his recovery from once again obtaining Light Auma, Flightpaw has devoted himself even further to Safe Haven, promising to do absolutely anything for it to grow and succeed. This passion of his has gone mostly unchecked, only leaking out during Nicolas' trial, but runs extremely deep, to the point that he has promised himself, if he ever thought of himself as a threat to his home, that he would either kill himself or vow to never return, taking refuge out in the wilderness just like before the Call awakened him.

Staring a few moons after the fall of Babylon, just after Pebble left for her Proving, Flightpaw became quieter and quieter with time. Lately, the tom would avoid unnecessary interaction and pretend to sleep or be training whenever someone came near during his free time. The trait weakened for a time when Pebblepath returned, but after some choice words with Mintpaw, Flight has gone back to his sluggish habits.

When left alone, Flightpaw has lately began to act much younger than one would expect. When faced with a rainy day, he's been spotted running through puddles, challenging himself to make the biggest splash. Some well-hidden Haveners have also caught him rolling around with a bug or two, batting at it and playfully "hunting" it like a kit would. The second someone else is within sight however, he goes back to his neutral expression.

After the Ashen Siege on Safe Haven, with his mother now taken into custody, Flightpaw has severely reverted back to his habits of keeping away from others. He firmly believes that everyone aside from Panthersniff is going to cast his mother out or send her to an unprecedented demise, and has been refusing to speak in a civil manner with anyone outside his family and the Monarchs until her trial.

Habits:

-Flight is commonly seen on Heaven's Eye, meditating. However, he's been there so often that sometimes he'll fall asleep during meditation...
-When meeting someone new, he'll usually act much more formal than intended, believing that he needs to make a very good first impression or whoever he speaks to will dislike him.
-Assuming the worst. If there is a bad scenario to happen, he believes that that will be the most likely outcome and will try to avoid it.

Dreams/Goals: Flightpaw's only goal is to be a great asset towards Safe Haven and keep his family/friends safe. If he also wishes to become Chief Seeker one day, he'd simply tell you it's the logical step for him to take once he's truly the asset he wants to be.

Beliefs: Flightpaw has full belief that Starclan exists due to observing Haven and events inside it. Flightpaw also believes in his Tribal ancestors, who he's learned about through his cousin and has grown a faith in over time.
"While Starclan gives us power and helps protect the group, I'm not one of them; I'm one of Haven. If I were to ever leave, Starclan wouldn't blink an eye in my direction. Build: For Mechanics:Tall and Limber. -Flightpaw is lithe and agile due to his training being aimed towards running, but his genes give him quite a bit of muscle hidden under his fur. He's getting awfully tall as time goes on, making him appear more lanky than he should.

-Flightpaw came to Safe Haven with a scar on the nape of his neck. He believes it has something to do with how he turned Ashen before the Call.

Emotional Health - 35% - Just Functional - Due to events in Haven, Flightpaw has lost two sources of emotional support in Rainheart and Inkfeather. With trial coming up for Pebblepath in the near future, all thoughts have turned grim for the apprentice, anticipating another loss sooner or later. Though he has shown no signs of turning to the darkness, worry spreads in Haven for the young tom once again.

{ Kit }
Flightpaw does not remember much of his kit-hood due to being an Ashen. He was born to two rogues and was a single kit. His father was originally from the Eastern Tribes, and his mother was a rogue, formerly a member of the same Tribe as his father. They often fought with each other about his light-hearted personality, but he didn't know how else to live, being born several long moons after the calamity. He wasn't sure what killed them, but when he'd found them after exploring, they were nearly unrecognizable except for their scents and place of death. He was on his own at only 4 moons of age, avoiding any thing he saw until one day he was faced with an Ashen that sent shivers down his pelt and froze him with fear. Being so young, just the sight of that creature lunging at him was enough to make the poor thing faint where he stood. And when he awoke, he was Ashen, following the bidding of Dark Auma until Hopflight and Lynxtail called out for them all. The creature that had taken him over vanished, only leaving him behind with a scar on the nape of his neck, where he suspected it had bitten him or something of the sort. Flightpaw, just Flight at the time, went towards the Call as steadily as he could, only remembering a fraction of his name.{ Apprentice }
When Flightpaw first went to Safe Haven he received a 'warrior name', and the apprentice noticed that no one but the Monarch's seemed to know much of Safe Haven. They were it's creators and current leaders, making them the most knowledgeable of what was to happen, but there were floods of cats coming to live in Safe Haven with them and work together, all of whom needed a job and purpose. None of them had any idea of what they should be doing, most being rogues or loners or mere kittens beforehand (just like him), and only a few had lived in an organized society before the Calamity struck, such as Clan cats and kittypets. It led him to questions about what he would be doing with his future and whether or not he would be a good help to this place he had found, but when it came down to it, Flightpaw wished to be a Seeker. He enjoyed gathering things and thought he could help his new home by doing what he loved. There were a few cats within the first months of him living at Safe Haven that picked on him for being a former Ashen, and for not remembering much of his kit-hood, but they very quickly stopped the teasing when more former Ashen's joined, looking a lot stronger and meaner than Flightpaw did. Despite the original worries he had, some due to those cats and some not, he's determined to be an asset - even if his new home was still working itself out.

Flightpaw had settled down quite nicely in Safe Haven for the two moons he'd been welcomed in, slowly growing used to being surrounded by cats and making a home for himself near the edge of Safe Haven. He'd met a few cats he called his friends already, Rainheart, Pebblepaw, Mintpaw - even a Monarch, Hopflight! The little apprentice had begun his training and was trying hard to fit into his new environment. There were a couple challenges, like troublesome Pabloo and his own awkwardness and unfamiliarity with social norms, but he's pushed through it. He knows there will be more challenges before he's accepted as a full Seeker as well, but now he has cats by his side to help him on his way.

With the arrival of Skinner's Gang, the peace and quiet that Flightpaw had gotten used to was disrupted. Cats came to Safe Haven wearing pelts like medals and spouting nonsense of the 'Way of Blood' like killing things, even other cats, was perfectly natural and practically for sport instead of survival. To Flightpaw they were sickening, and at the beginning it seemed like everyone else agreed with him. Everyone wanted them gone; they were no good, they didn't seem to respect anyone, if they were let in then everyone would have to sleep with one eye open (which Flightpaw has started to do since they're admittance inside the walls). They shouldn't be here and shouldn't be trusted, but for some reason everyone's opinions changed. The Gang said a few nice words, shot a few looks around and suddenly everyone was listening to them. Like that hadn't just interrupted an important and special ceremony. Like they weren't wearing the skin of a cat that could have been anyone's, even their own, family members. Like anything they said could be trusted... Flightpaw didn't understand. And he understood even less when one of his first friends, the friend that he had made and chosen to trust himself with even before his own mentor and leader, Pebblepaw.. She had joined them.

She had told him not to trust them and that she didn't trust them either, that they were the only sensible ones for not falling for their act.. But she joined them... .. Ever since Skinner's Gang has been let into the walls he's avoided them at all costs, being on higher watch inside the walls than outside them now, and kept watch over his room-mate Mintpaw (though not to Mintpaw's current knowledge) over the night to make sure none of them came too close, in range to harm them both. That said, he's been running a bit low on sleep and energy since then but he's still getting his job as a Seeker's apprentice done just as well as before, even if a bit slower.

After Skinner's official trial, one he had made himself scarce for thankfully, Nicolas was revealed as a traitor. The elder raised Babylon, every Havener's own personal Hell and battle-ground, and had them all go on trials of worth... Flightpaw, who had been left in the Pits at his own request, had been influenced and flooded with dark auma, once again becoming a Darkling like he'd been before the Call. Mintpaw had come back for him and awoken him from his mania, and with the hell of a bystander, got Flightpaw out of his prison so that they could fight side by side.

Flightpaw and Mintpaw made it through all of Nicolas' trials side by side, truly finding themselves as brothers, and came out relatively battle-ready unlike a few they met after the Guardian fell. Then, with his brother and newly recognized mother, Rainheart, by his side, Flightpaw ascended the stairs provided to continue to the final battle against Hellbeast!Nicolas. The battle was terrifying and brutal, even mortal for a few of them, but it was won quickly with everyone putting forth all of their strength for the cause.

Nicolas fell, Babylon lost a fragment of it's power, Spiral had been caught and defeated, and now, after a mourning period of three days, Flightpaw has once again been blessed with Light Auma, stripped of his Darkling status. He is now back to how he once was, though only physically..

As Nicolas is being put on trial, Flightpaw has taken great initiative to make others see that the biggest traitor, Nicolas, should be executed. Maybe after questioning, maybe after a short imprisonment to make him think about what he has done, but the final answer should definetly be for the tom to no longer be among their ranks or any others'. Spiral he has not come to a conclusion for, seeing as the assistant has killed cats as well, but at the very least he should be imprisoned for a long length of time. Now if only others could see his side of things...

After Nicolas is put into the Pits, Safe Haven calms down as everyone recovers. Things slow down for those recovering, as it takes almost 2 moons for everyone to be alright again, and in the meantime those who were not badly injured are put through double the work to make up for them. Flightpaw is one of those who could still work fine after Babylon fell, which kept him quite busy for the next moon, once he was recovered from his own mental injury after being given his Light Auma back.

Once things had returned to normal, things were even better than before. Winterfest began, everyone played in the snow, his cousin became much less annoying as he discovered that he could have friends outside of Flightpaw himself. And he even got to spend more time with Mintpaw, due to patrols and training being put off in favor of the festivities. He didn't participate all that much, but it was fun to watch others. In the middle of the festivities, however, Flight and Mint both got a horrible scare, feeling Pebble's soul brush against theirs. They were positive that this meant she was dead, from other accounts they had heard, and through a good portion of the rest of Winterfest, the two were inseparable but hopeless. They would cry, sleep and barely eat, for days until the Monarchs gave word that Pebble had actually been revived. At that news, the two were so relieved that they didn't know what to do with themselves besides be with each other and be grateful.

Soon, Winterfest passed and auditions for a play - of course made by Def, of all cats - were announced. The play was a portrayal of Babylon, and Flightpaw was having none of it. As much as possible, he's ignored the play's existence, when not helping out Panthersniff for his audition for narrator.

And for some reason, not long after that, Flightpaw found himself being the healer for a fallen ally, Beesting, near the Southern Lake inside Safe Haven. Mjolnir had rampaged and done his damage to the tom, but Flightpaw, with the assistance of Mintpaw, Duskpaw, Tiger, Francis, Palepelt, and Mudbark, were able to keep the tom alive and stable. Since then Skinner, Mjol and Baron, have been under investigation, with the result of their treachory yet to be announced.{ Seeker } N/A

He'd been with his mentor for the last couple hours hunting and they'd gotten a pretty good amount, though his mentor had to find a couple more cats to pick up all of the prey to carry it back. Therefore, he'd been sent ahead. He didn't mind, he just thought that having a mentor would be better if he didn't get sent away back to camp so often. The dark calico's brow furrowed as he set the carcasses on the fresh-kill pile and went to sit by the entrance, awaiting his mentor's return with whoever had been sent along with him. I thought I was supposed to stay by his side and learn from him, but no. I'm in camp while he's out there, gathering prey.. I need to learn to fight. I'll ask when he gets back.. This time, I'll pester him until I can at least get one good attack down!"

Staring a few moons after the fall of Babylon, just after Pebble left for her Proving, Flightpaw became quieter and quieter with time. Lately, the tom would avoid unnecessary interaction and pretend to sleep or be training whenever someone came near during his free time. The trait weakened for a time when Pebblepath returned, but after some choice words with Mintpaw, Flight has gone back to his sluggish habits.

When left alone, Flightpaw has lately began to act much younger than one would expect. When faced with a rainy day, he's been spotted running through puddles, challenging himself to make the biggest splash. Some well-hidden Haveners have also caught him rolling around with a bug or two, batting at it and playfully "hunting" it like a kit would. The second someone else is within sight however, he goes back to his neutral expression.

He firmly believes that everyone aside from Panthersniff is going to cast his mother out or send her to an unprecedented demise, and has been refusing to speak in a civil manner with anyone outside his family and the Monarchs until her trial.

{ Kit }
Flightpaw does not remember much of his kit-hood due to being an Ashen. He was born to two rogues and was a single kit. His father was originally from the Eastern Tribes, and his mother was a rogue, formerly a member of the same Tribe as his father. They often fought with each other about his light-hearted personality, but he didn't know how else to live, being born several long moons after the calamity. He wasn't sure what killed them, but when he'd found them after exploring, they were nearly unrecognizable except for their scents and place of death. He was on his own at only 4 moons of age, avoiding any thing he saw until one day he was faced with an Ashen that sent shivers down his pelt and froze him with fear. Being so young, just the sight of that creature lunging at him was enough to make the poor thing faint where he stood. And when he awoke, he was Ashen, following the bidding of Dark Auma until Hopflight and Lynxtail called out for them all. The creature that had taken him over vanished, only leaving him behind with a scar on the nape of his neck, where he suspected it had bitten him or something of the sort. Flightpaw, just Flight at the time, went towards the Call as steadily as he could, only remembering a fraction of his name.{ Apprentice }
When Flightpaw first went to Safe Haven he received a 'warrior name', and the apprentice noticed that no one but the Monarch's seemed to know much of Safe Haven. They were it's creators and current leaders, making them the most knowledgeable of what was to happen, but there were floods of cats coming to live in Safe Haven with them and work together, all of whom needed a job and purpose. None of them had any idea of what they should be doing, most being rogues or loners or mere kittens beforehand (just like him), and only a few had lived in an organized society before the Calamity struck, such as Clan cats and kittypets. It led him to questions about what he would be doing with his future and whether or not he would be a good help to this place he had found, but when it came down to it, Flightpaw wished to be a Seeker. He enjoyed gathering things and thought he could help his new home by doing what he loved. There were a few cats within the first months of him living at Safe Haven that picked on him for being a former Ashen, and for not remembering much of his kit-hood, but they very quickly stopped the teasing when more former Ashen's joined, looking a lot stronger and meaner than Flightpaw did. Despite the original worries he had, some due to those cats and some not, he's determined to be an asset - even if his new home was still working itself out.

Flightpaw had settled down quite nicely in Safe Haven for the two moons he'd been welcomed in, slowly growing used to being surrounded by cats and making a home for himself near the edge of Safe Haven. He'd met a few cats he called his friends already, Rainheart, Pebblepaw, Mintpaw - even a Monarch, Hopflight! The little apprentice had begun his training and was trying hard to fit into his new environment. There were a couple challenges, like troublesome Pabloo and his own awkwardness and unfamiliarity with social norms, but he's pushed through it. He knows there will be more challenges before he's accepted as a full Seeker as well, but now he has cats by his side to help him on his way.

With the arrival of Skinner's Gang, the peace and quiet that Flightpaw had gotten used to was disrupted. Cats came to Safe Haven wearing pelts like medals and spouting nonsense of the 'Way of Blood' like killing things, even other cats, was perfectly natural and practically for sport instead of survival. To Flightpaw they were sickening, and at the beginning it seemed like everyone else agreed with him. Everyone wanted them gone; they were no good, they didn't seem to respect anyone, if they were let in then everyone would have to sleep with one eye open (which Flightpaw has started to do since they're admittance inside the walls). They shouldn't be here and shouldn't be trusted, but for some reason everyone's opinions changed. The Gang said a few nice words, shot a few looks around and suddenly everyone was listening to them. Like that hadn't just interrupted an important and special ceremony. Like they weren't wearing the skin of a cat that could have been anyone's, even their own, family members. Like anything they said could be trusted... Flightpaw didn't understand. And he understood even less when one of his first friends, the friend that he had made and chosen to trust himself with even before his own mentor and leader, Pebblepaw.. She had joined them.

She had told him not to trust them and that she didn't trust them either, that they were the only sensible ones for not falling for their act.. But she joined them... .. Ever since Skinner's Gang has been let into the walls he's avoided them at all costs, being on higher watch inside the walls than outside them now, and kept watch over his room-mate Mintpaw (though not to Mintpaw's current knowledge) over the night to make sure none of them came too close, in range to harm them both. That said, he's been running a bit low on sleep and energy since then but he's still getting his job as a Seeker's apprentice done just as well as before, even if a bit slower.

After Skinner's official trial, one he had made himself scarce for thankfully, Nicolas was revealed as a traitor. The elder raised Babylon, every Havener's own personal Hell and battle-ground, and had them all go on trials of worth... Flightpaw, who had been left in the Pits at his own request, had been influenced and flooded with dark auma, once again becoming a Darkling like he'd been before the Call. Mintpaw had come back for him and awoken him from his mania, and with the hell of a bystander, got Flightpaw out of his prison so that they could fight side by side.

Flightpaw and Mintpaw made it through all of Nicolas' trials side by side, truly finding themselves as brothers, and came out relatively battle-ready unlike a few they met after the Guardian fell. Then, with his brother and newly recognized mother, Rainheart, by his side, Flightpaw ascended the stairs provided to continue to the final battle against Hellbeast!Nicolas. The battle was terrifying and brutal, even mortal for a few of them, but it was won quickly with everyone putting forth all of their strength for the cause.

Nicolas fell, Babylon lost a fragment of it's power, Spiral had been caught and defeated, and now, after a mourning period of three days, Flightpaw has once again been blessed with Light Auma, stripped of his Darkling status. He is now back to how he once was, though only physically..

As Nicolas is being put on trial, Flightpaw has taken great initiative to make others see that the biggest traitor, Nicolas, should be executed. Maybe after questioning, maybe after a short imprisonment to make him think about what he has done, but the final answer should definetly be for the tom to no longer be among their ranks or any others'. Spiral he has not come to a conclusion for, seeing as the assistant has killed cats as well, but at the very least he should be imprisoned for a long length of time. Now if only others could see his side of things...

After Nicolas is put into the Pits, Safe Haven calms down as everyone recovers. Things slow down for those recovering, as it takes almost 2 moons for everyone to be alright again, and in the meantime those who were not badly injured are put through double the work to make up for them. Flightpaw is one of those who could still work fine after Babylon fell, which kept him quite busy for the next moon, once he was recovered from his own mental injury after being given his Light Auma back.

Once things had returned to normal, things were even better than before. Winterfest began, everyone played in the snow, his cousin became much less annoying as he discovered that he could have friends outside of Flightpaw himself. And he even got to spend more time with Mintpaw, due to patrols and training being put off in favor of the festivities. He didn't participate all that much, but it was fun to watch others. In the middle of the festivities, however, Flight and Mint both got a horrible scare, feeling Pebble's soul brush against theirs. They were positive that this meant she was dead, from other accounts they had heard, and through a good portion of the rest of Winterfest, the two were inseparable but hopeless. They would cry, sleep and barely eat, for days until the Monarchs gave word that Pebble had actually been revived. At that news, the two were so relieved that they didn't know what to do with themselves besides be with each other and be grateful.

Soon, Winterfest passed and auditions for a play - of course made by Def, of all cats - were announced. The play was a portrayal of Babylon, and Flightpaw was having none of it. As much as possible, he's ignored the play's existence, when not helping out Panthersniff for his audition for narrator.

And for some reason, not long after that, Flightpaw found himself being the healer for a fallen ally, Beesting, near the Southern Lake inside Safe Haven. Mjolnir had rampaged and done his damage to the tom, but Flightpaw, with the assistance of Mintpaw, Duskpaw, Tiger, Francis, Palepelt, and Mudbark, were able to keep the tom alive and stable. Since then Skinner, Mjol and Baron, have been under investigation, with the result of their treachory yet to be announced.{ Seeker } N/A

Sample: "Basilpaw walked into camp, prey dangling from his mouth. He'd been with his mentor for the last couple hours hunting and they'd gotten a pretty good amount, though his mentor had to find a couple more cats to pick up all of the prey to carry it back. Therefore, he'd been sent ahead. He didn't mind, he just thought that having a mentor would be better if he didn't get sent away back to camp so often. The dark calico's brow furrowed as he set the carcasses on the fresh-kill pile and went to sit by the entrance, awaiting his mentor's return with whoever had been sent along with him. I thought I was supposed to stay by his side and learn from him, but no. I'm in camp while he's out there, gathering prey.. I need to learn to fight. I'll ask when he gets back.. This time, I'll pester him until I can at least get one good attack down!"
