Description Inspired by Red Dwarf: Back To Earth on DAVE in the UK... rekindled my interest in Red Dwarf, and had to make a little fan comic... I think it's much better than the old Dwarf comics I drew in the late 90's for the Red Dwarf fan club.

Pretty sweet comic, I'm assuming this is set in the 'New' era (back to earth), to explain how Rimmer can pick up the bazookoid.

Yeah, it's post BTE - but Rimmer's had a physical presence since series 6, so it's not a new ability for him. Glad you liked the comic!

I'm watching all the seasons which are apparently six episodes a season and I hear they are doing a season ten! I say go for 10 more seasons!! Course I have two theories as to which rimmer that one is in back to earth. One, its rimmer returning from being ace saying he can't hack it and decided to pass it on to some other smuck rimmer or its the rimmer from when the nanites brought the crew of red dwarf back to life and somehow he died and came back as a hologram, course we will never know because the creator will never do a season nine because apparently it was already done and seen in back to earth, know what I mean?

I reckon it's just the series VIII Rimmer who died at the end of VIII, and resurrected as a hologram (he already has the old Rimmer's diaries, so would know of the Despair Squid). I'd like to leave the original Rimmer's exit 'as is', and not sully it with him being a failure again!

True plus he has access to rimmer's files and diaries so he could absorb them to be up to date because he thought it only natural to have it plus I liked how the original rimmer left as the new ace, actually the guy who played rimmer really didn't like playing despicable characters and left the show because he had decided it was time for him to leave the series by stoke me a clipper.

Loved reading this! You've nailed their personalities perfectly (especially Rimmer). And I also feel the same way over Back To Earth. It needed a more original storyline.

This was great, the writing is so spot-on; it reads just like a script from one of the later episodes.

Thanks for the comment! By later episodes I choose to understand that you mean anything up to series six of course...

Nicely done. I could hear their voices distinctly and the words / quips / jokes / nagging fit perfectly!

The ending line by Rimmer was not as great as the rest of the comic, but all in all I loved it. I wish they had had more seasons or I wish the had made that movie...you've made me nostalgic as well!

Very good work. The lines seemed suited to the characters, the reactions are easily imaginable as what they would do.
We need more.

Hehe; oh, you kept them so in character the whole time. It was brilliant. :-D I love how, despite the fact that the day is saved, Rimmer still rants at the end.

I really enjoyed reading this! As a long-time RD fan, I'll generally like anything with the crew in it, but this was very good. The characters stayed, well, in character all the way through, the dialogue was well-executed.
As the art goes, the pages are well constructed, the poses great - it tends to be difficult to get realistic action poses, but you managed it very well. The shading was well done, as well. My main gripe is with the faces; they seem oddly downward-sloping at the sides, and stylised. It's an odd contrast to the level of detail and effort evident in all the other aspects of the artwork, particularly the shading on the faces themselves.

All in all, I think this was good - 4/5 stars!

(You requested Critique, but I don't have a premium account. Hope this helps some.)

Glad you liked it, and thanks for the comment! Faces aren't my strong point, hence the stylised approach. The more detail I add to the faces, the more I tend to bugger it up!
