I love this cover. I think the title doesn't have the word "for" in it though.

Too long hair, she only started to let her hair grow in the aftermath of Honor of the Queen

I have only recently got into the Honorverse but im eating it up very fast. Funny thing is that after seeing the image of Honor on the cover of the first book "On Basilisk Station" (the modified mature-looking version not the child-like original) I have been picturing Honor played by the up and coming martial arts actress Gina Carano. While she is still establishing her acting credentials (her martial prowess being pretty much a given), if the Honorverse ever does get the silver screen treatment Carano's the one I would nominate.

That is some great casting there. God I love those books so much why can't they come out faster...

heh. I know... but he does pretty good considering he writes several other series concurrently. I'm going nuts waiting for the next Safehold novel.

Didn't Honor have shorter hair back then still?

Wow! All the details aside, this is an excellent piece of work. It just makes me lament that there isn't a movie or tv series yet.

Looking pretty good. I see you have used the uniform artwork from TRMN web sites?

Well 'googled' would be more accurate...
...please, if it needs accrediting or even removing, just point me at the right people.

Well, i don't know if the picture belongs to TRMN or to BuNine (Honorverse department of Ad Astra Games), so i think that if you drop email to firstlord@trmn.org about who you should accredit it to as a source, there should be no problem

Wow this is actually quite good. I really like it, espeically the ships in the background.
The only problem is the rank symbols on her collar. She was a Captian( Senior Grade) at Yeltisn. She was jumped over Junior Grade. So it should be one planet, rather than four pips.
Still think it looks nice though. Keep up the good work.

Actually, the collar insignia is all right, since the uniform is that of an Commander. Captain JG uses the same collar insignia as Commander (four pips) but have four thin stripes on the shoulderboards.

So for Captain SG you would need to replace the pips with one planet on the collar AND add one stripe on the shoulderboards

But Honor was not a Commander nor a Captain JG at Yeltsin.
She was a Captain (Senior Grade.) She was jumped right over Junior Grade becasue of the feat she pulled off a Baslisik.
I have the Jaynes Intel. Review(offical Manticorian Navy guide) to reference and the Honorverse Wiki says the same thing. I am 99.3% certain I'm right about her rank...
But the uniform is right for when she is a Commander in the first book.
I'm sorry if I sounded rude, but I love the cover and it looks great, and I wish for it to be as accurate as possible. I really like fan art myself and this cover is one I would proudly display on my bookshelf if it was printed on an actual book.

I didn't say that you are not right about her being Captain of the List in Honor of the Queen.
I meant that for the rank being canon with the book, the shoulderboards are also wrong.
Same with me about the artwork, i would prefer this to the Mattingly's covers

But it is really nice.
