King Kong 1976 was the most expensive movies made of 1976 with props and the giant mechanical hands for Jessica Lange . as I was born in 1976 the movie always stuck with me to this day . As for Madonna Express Yourself video was the most expensive music video of that time. I had mauro (www.deviantart.com/maur47 ) recreate a shrinking scene, Madonna ,and King Kong 1976 as these videos were so expensive I cut the costs down lol jk. I had Mauro combine the look of Jessica Lange and Madonna to mimic the character. The Ape Man was based off a veteran like me who comes home to a new world and adjusts to civilian life.
David Fincher-directed video was filmed in April 1989 at Culver Studios in Culver City, California. It was based on the Fritz Lang classic silent film, Metropolis, and the budget of $5 million made it the most expensive music video in history at the time. The promo regularly comes in the Top 10 of polls regarding the top music videos, and Slant Magazine ranked it at #1 on its list of "100 Greatest Music Videos." (www.songfacts.com/facts/madonn… )
