Been away from analog media for too long? Which Delacroix is it? I might like to try to do it in acrylics sometime.

Well I think it's just a study of a young farmer, but it's one of his most famous, you'll find it easily on google
Anyway, it's just that I've been never able to reach this kind of realism with analog colours :/ (I used watercolour though, and I kinda use them now too, but only for colouring linearts)

Woah that looks amazing! The colours of the face, the feel of everything, the folds in the clothing, the values are all great!
The only thing I could say about it is that the hand could use a bit more work in the aspect of darker and more defined creases, and some reflected light from the dress on the inferior side of the hand. But that's just a minor detail.
Other than that I gotta say that it looks really really good, and you're most definitely on the right track!
Keep practicing and don't stop painting even if you get demotivated!

Absolutely! And yes, I must admit that certain parts, like the hand, I tried to give that 'rapid strokes' touch, but I have to get better on that!
