Description
We're throwing another Coloring Book Challenge contest over at , and I thought it'd be fun to take another crack at it~ It's a fun challenge, highly recommended!I couldn't think of an artist to mimic, so I asked my sister to start throwing out names for me. She said Van Gogh , and here we are!
I hadn't done Aurora yet, and because she's my favorite it was about time to do a coloring page for her.
I can't relocate the exact coloring page I used, but here's the same one (just at a really bad res).
This piece at my Tumblr. Reblog, don't repost~!

This is just amazing! Van Gogh is clearly coming into life in this work.
Besides the coloring and movement of this piece, the "make it blue" vs "make it pink" touch is simply genious, well done!

Very beautiful. I'm always amazed at people who can copy another artists style of work. I have a hard time just figuring out my own style. The feel is very soft and romantic just like the movie. I also appreciate the blue and purple touches in her dress.

Very beautiful! Like another commenter said, Van Gogh seems to be a very popular choice for artists. I really like pictures where one can see all of the individual brush strokes, as it's like looking at the artist's train of thought in deciding which color goes where. Speaking of color, I also love how you incorporated both the blue and pink hues into Aurora's dress. It's like a much classier version of the dress that resulted when Flora and Merryweather tried to change its color at once. The swirls in the background give it a very enchanting vibe!

Mhm, Van Gogh is a very fun artist to imitate, and because I haven't tried his aesthetic before I thought now would be a nice time to do so.
Thanks very much! I'm glad you enjoy how I handled her dress; whenever possible I like to incorporate both colors.

Van Gagh seems like quite a popular source of inspiration in the contest.
It's a very stunning piece. The colors really radiate.

Great work, Misty! I'm glad you went with the Van Gogh - I don't think too many others are brave enough to risk his style. I like that you squeezed in all the colors of the rainbow, too.

I think it took like 4-5 hours to paint, but I don't time myself.
