Tree based off of one of my favorite desert trees; a Joshua Tree.

The Sunlit Crypts - Chapter 6Two days passed and Ankit was looking bedraggled. Dark circles were present under his bright eyes. He was constantly exhausted and downtrodden. The patients never stopped but neither did the disease. Nashandra watched as her brother did his best to get the sick hydrated and their fevers under control, but there was no telling who would survive and who wouldn’t. It seemed like nothing but random chance. Ankit never took it well when he lost patients, and this job was more losing than winning.
“This is insane,” Ankit said as he washed his hands for the someteenth time today. “There is a call to be as hygienic as possible, and even the people who are washing their hands and their bodies are getting sick. That’s one of the best defenses,” he muttered as he knit his eyebrows.
“It could be airborne?” Nashandra said as she passed her brother a clean cloth.

I think one of my favorite things so far about all the art for this series is how aggressively bright and optimistic it is. So perfect, and so unexpected, what with what one usually sees with necromantic imagery. Awesome and very very refreshing.

Thank you very much! I tend to work in bright colors automatically, but in this case a good deal of the color choices are more or less guided by Quinn herself. She's such a bright and happy person that it's just natural to follow that imagery. 
PLUS! I love how this story is basically a "let's work the problem," story. There's drama of course, but most of the time our troupe here doesn't have time to bicker--they gotta stay positive and work the problem!

And very indeed, about the 'work the problem' aspect of the plot! Now that they've gotten bogged down BY the drama, I can't wait to see how they pull out of it and get back to the solution-finding (and to see whatever that solution is going to be!).
