UPDATES...!
What I truly hate is when certain updates screw up older programs/games. A graphics card update for example. You install it because a new game requires it. Then you think: Let's play some older game and that game doesn't work no more. ARGHHH...GH!
That's the downside of having a PC. That's also why I got a console on the side
Updates are often needed to make things run better, but I often reject them unless they are really important or needed.
You would think that certain updates are viruses in disguise...

Actually, I totally understand your frustration. I work as a Library/Tech Support flunky at a laptop University. The beginning of every semester is a nightmare because suddenly 8,000 laptops need updating/configuring/beating into submission ALL at once because nobody took care of their computer during semester break. So we get lots of questions, except it's the same 4 or 5 questions a couple hundred times within the same week.

On the contrary, I find that every update always fixes something for me!
The only time an update broke something was when my NVIDIA cart updated. But another updated fixed it again.
