I'm not evil... really When I hover with my mouse over the "shop" module it says 416 points o_O no it wasn't edited
Perhaps somebody has/had the same issue?

I donate 20 points a friend.
I have 480 points.
My pool says I have 500.

They should change it in my opinion, or at least add a feature that you can see what was donated and what you've spend

Could be about the fact that Deviant art can take away points without telling you so.
If you have been given points by someone they dont like they can retroactively take the points they have donated to you away.

All I know is that it happened to a friend of mine here on dA, I can link you to her journal if you want where she explains what happened to her and what she was told by the dA admins.
Here is a short pluck out from the journal to show you what happened:
I immediately contacted Help Desk:
"My point balance is currently 0, but this isn't right! According to my own transaction history, I should have hundreds of points (the most recent were received just a few days ago.) Nothing has been spent, transferred, or anything else. They just aren't there/ I have no notification or anything as to why it's currently zeroed out. This is an incredible inconvenience since there are deviants two whom I owe points that SHOULD be there. This is a bug that could literally hurt my integrity as an artist on dA. Please explain what is going on?"
I received the following response:
Hello my friends name,
I am sorry but unfortunately you are currently 562 Points in debt (meaning, your balance is -562 Points) due to a voided donation of fraudulently purchased Points by another deviant.
So no, I am afraid I am not wrong.

But in this case, 'Droneguard didn't lose any points. For example, when somebody donates 100 points to you via donation pool and you give 'em away, it still shows 100/*pointsgoal*. It shows how much people have donated to your donation pool, giving points away wont affect it.

Yeah, I did on contests. But I just find it strange that the donation box doesn't balance itself with what you have

Personally, I think it works better as it is, because that way you and others can see what people have actually donated via the donation pool. Plus, if it kept changing, you'd probably never reach your target!

Ah yes, I totally forgot about that list. Spent a total of 1000 points on previous contests. Also received quite some points on commissions and gifts. Oh well, I suppose it's correct

Somewhere along the line you have spent/donated 150 points. these deduct from the one on the top bar, but not the donation pool

It happens when you spend points. Unfortunately, it doesnt change the balance in your donation box. The shop tab has your true balance though haha.
