bè un occhio meccanico è una protesi che, almeno sulla carta, dovrebbe migliorare l'apparato organico che già possediamo. è da intendersi come una sorta di metafora...un pò come la forchetta è protesi di quello che potrebbe esser una mano.

bè dai non è così ovvio sapere chi sia...era un documentarista russo, il fautore del cosìdetto cinema verità...il primo a sperimentare una nuova forma comunicativa attraverso il mezzo cinematografico. ( se t'interessa il film in cui opera ufficialmente questo concetto è The man with the movie camera, 1929, lo trovi su youtube)
