i hear that at first it can be very unfriendly to learn? how difficult would you say it was to learn, and also how many hours did you put into it?

Its about as difficult as any other i think.
I was able to paint very soon after looking up tutorials on youtube.
I got the swing of things after a couple weeks, but you almost never stop learning extra things that you didn't know about before.
I've put at least 7000 hours in i think.

it's good never to stop learning. I have been playing with sai and i have someone helping me. I haven't really used youtube for tutorials yet, as i haven't mastered the one tutorial cheekythalia made me. you are truly an inspiration. The dedication to put that many hours into it, holy hell man! Ever get to a point where you were like, man, that's it, i'm frustrated, -gets out gasoline can- you can go burn stupid stupid painting!!! ? haha
