I realized today it's been a YEAR (well okay, 2 days off) since I've done a Drizzt picture! Like holy cow how the time flies!!!Being inspired by keelerleah 's many fan arts of Drizzt over the years, I asked if I could reference one of her own arts for one of mine. Her "Drizzt Welcomes the Hunter" has always been one of my favorite and memorable pieces. Many thanks to her!!
So this is sort of my version

Crivens, this is admirable. The stunning background and the immaculate model (is that Genesis? DarioFish stuff on it, possibly?) combine into a truly high quality artwork. The way you finetuned shaders (rough skin, glistening steel, silky hair) and set up lights is impressive.

I love love love Drizzt! This is a great picture. I will have to say my favs in the story are Jarlaxle and Zakenfein. Seriously Zak tugs at my heart strings. I felt his centuries of life were cut short before he really got a chance to live. He finally found someone to have a real trusting relationship with only to be killed off shortly there after then brought back to go after said individual and die again both times horribly.Β

I've been meaning to create Zaknafein for a long time, but I feel I should go back and re-read Homeland so I can really do him justice... but we shall see. He will make it into my gallery eventually

I need to finish the one I started on Drizzt and Cattie-Bri and I will eventually do Zak. I have the graphic novel versions of The Dark Elf Trilogy which has some good art work for reference. They capture both Drizzt and Zak the exact way I pictured them

Ah I wish I had the graphic novel... but I don't know, comics just have never been my thing... though I'd be very tempted to do one of the books myself, probably The Crystal Shard, in a 3D "comic" format... I'm not sure how good it'd look though

I am not really a comic fan. I like the artwork but just never to that into it. Which is weird because of like the comic book movies. Β I got the graphic Novels because I wanted to see the books come to life. Β They did the whole Dark Elf Trilogy, and the Icewind Dale Trilogy, and then they did a Neverwinter series. Apparently they started the Legacy of the Drow but discontinued it. Β I wish I could find the few of that one in print. The other Graphic Novels are available.
Anyway, I pretty much have a dead set visual of Zak now lolΒ
