Description I finished it! My newest piece of Patrick Stump fan art.

For the longest time, I had “Explode” stuck in my head. (I still do, but whatever.) And then I saw a wonderful photo of him that just begged to be drawn. So I did, but with something a little different. I usually do charcoal drawings…black and white…maybe some colored pencil. I wanted to do something outside of my comfort zone. Something a little unexpected, like Patrick’s CD was for many FOB fans.

So I drew this with ballpoint pen, colored pencils, art pens, and (reluctantly) watercolor. Because I hadn’t intended to use watercolor, this is on regular 90lb sketchbook paper. (For those of you who may not know, that’s good from charcoal and pens, but nothing with water. This means that it did wrinkle a tiny bit, but not terribly so.)

On a side note, I really hate that I drew a curved orange line by his face. I tried to cover it up, but it didn’t really work at all.

Just don't burn him on the heater! Clone or original, that'd be an awful thing to happen. And how are we going to work out who get the clone or the original? Coin toss? Or are we going to leave it up to the Patricks?

I take the original one, because it was my idea And i'm not going to burn him. He just must be tied to sth heavy, otherwise he would run away xD Oh, and You can visit him from time to time, if You want. And, You know, feed him or something

This is great! I've never seen color turn out so vibrant and beautiful
I also love the warm and soft cool effects you added in there.

And the line? Hell, I thought that was supposed to be there XD It might be a mistake in your book, but it gives it an added effect in mine

Thank you so much! Well, the vibrant color is the watercolor. I don't know about other people, but watercolor always turns out super vibrant when I use it.

Again, thank you! I've always loved that Patrick seems like a soft-spoken and sweet guy, and yet he can sing so powerfully. I've always loved that dynamic about him.

Well technically I had intended for the line to be there. I just don't like how it looks. As soon as I had set the pen to paper, I instantly regretted the decision. It was supposed to be there to frame in the lyrics, but then I realized too late that the watercolor does the same thing only more effectively. And now I think it's just a big mess. But thank you regardless.

He is such a sweet, down to earth guy I wish I could meet him (and the rest of FOB) one day Everyone but me has met Patrick, it feels like

Don't worry, I haven't met him either. He did answer a question I had over Twitter once, though! That was super amazing! But I really wish I could meet him in person.

I did originally plan for it to be there, but I hate how it looks. I realized too late that the watercolor would frame in the lyrics I wrote by his face better than a harsh line.
