The color manipulation is almost ethereal.

Thanks! The bubbles are fairly subtle on their own but when crossed over they give off that intense light

how do you get them so perfectly in line?! Even when drawing on a computer, I can't even make the Seed of Life right! You are an amazing artist, by the way. What program did you do this on?

I use photoshop for all my work. The center line is three bubbles to start and the way photoshop works is the top of one bubble snaps to the bottom of the other and the other two snap to the center where the others join (hope that makes sense). Then I just repeat this for the other rows . The the rows won't snap to each other so its by eye with careful nudges. This is actualy not perfectly aligned but its pretty close. Thanks very much for the compliment! I aim to improve all the time.

What photoshop do you have? Mine doesn't do this.

CS6 but it also worked with CS4. Also maybe check out your preferences there may be an option there. I also set up guides which shapes will snap to though it should work without them.

Yes it is love that book! Yeah I like my shiney colours, I have a version of this with a few hundred bubbles interlocked but its a bit much to look at.

I believe that series was The Baroque Cycle though I've never read it myself. Its been ages since I've read anything by Gibson too, I haven't dipped into good Sci-Fi in a long while! If I get all the alignments working on the other bubble image I'll post it up
