Description
This is my attempt at creating a realistic desert in Vue. The idea of this piece was to give the feeling of what it's like to be in the middle of the desert. The environment itself took a week to complete, which included many hours of tweaking the settings for the sky, haze and fog.
Depth of field and dust was added in post.

Freaking awesome stuff. Would've been nice to have seen some sand particles in the wind since it's often windy in the desert, but this is WAY better than anything I've done.

Wow, thank you so much for the nice comments
I might go back and fix it later, but currently I'm at work on an old apartment environment which I hope to complete soon. I've the latest models on my tumblr page > [link]

Thankyou! I used the powers of magic! Nah, not really haha
I used some basic desert shaders (from Vue) and tweaked the dune settings until I got it right.
The lighting took the longest, lots of settings to mess around with to try and get the right look I was going for.

very nice and smooth dune transition, if there is anything i could comment on is that the main 'dunes' look like mountains, very high compared to the rest, i do thin the desert tends to flaten out, i could be wrong tought, dont mind me much

No, I think that's a good observation.
I will look into fixing it, thanks
