Auto-generated wallpaper. Scooby Doo rendered in a photo mosaic of "entertainment" small images. My entertainment collection contains actors, actresses, TV, movie and cartoons. The small images are all in landscape mode (wider than square). The big field of white is really bad for photo mosaics, but I thought the over all image was worth posting.This was generated using metapixel on Linux. The small image database contains over 6400 images.

It isn't... it is all done by a program. In my case it is metapixel, but photomosaic applications like it are available on all platforms (many for free). The only hard part is collecting a big enough set of small images to make it work.

It isn't hard. I used a photo mosaic application called metapixel which runs on Linix... but there are other free apps just like it that run on other platforms too. The hard part is collecting enough images to make the small image database for it to use. But if you have a lot of images, you should try something like this... it is pretty easy and fun to do.
