Oh, yeah.
She's a science scholar at a local university who feels like she gets a lot of discrimination because of her gender. A new student arrives and immediately gets awarded a grant that she felt she deserved. A rivalry ensues and she discovers the new kid has a secret. He is involved in experiments that could change the world, but he has reached an impasse. She uncovers part of his research and threatens to reveal it to the world unless he let's her in on his research. He does and within 24 hours, she unlocks the key to finishing his genetic dream.
Meanwhile a lot is happening on campus and he takes on a costumed personna which he uses for furthering his research. She experiments on herself and becomes a vengeful creature of the night.
