Oh yeah... watch the horns. If Sam really likes him at this point, maybe he'd only stop at using a tip to slit the back of his pants.

"Hey, I told you... but nooooo, you had to play your game... silly human, knows it all..."

I wonder if Sam breathes fire? "Hey, if you take them off I'll fix them for you..."

At this point Sam is only a few dozen years old and still very immature. Also being the son of regency he probably isn't inclined to hold back on anything. Fortunately, Del is a pretty fair judge of character and hopefully is taking this into account.

Oh, yeah, very definitely a fire-breather! Look out Del!

I know I've said it before, but it just can't be said enough... extreme perspective illustrations RULE! Very nice work, Dr.

Gene Colan! Did some great work in Tales of Suspense and the early Iron Man series... I remember that guy I like old movies too.

I got to be present when the Marvel Bullpen with the help of Mark Evanier sprung a surprise 70th birthday party for Gene at the San Diego comicon. John Romita sr., John Buscema, Marie Severin, Don McGregor and I think Marv Wolfman were all there. They had told Gene it was a panel for experimental inking techniques that he was a guest panelist for and then in the intro they brought in a cake and roasted Gene. Not much of a roast though as everyone had naught but good to say about Gentleman Gene. Stan Lee sent his apologies but was the featured guest speaker at another panel.
2001 I think it was.

I've made it to three San Diego cons so far and one in Portland where I met the Dark Horse crew whom I found very cordial and was very impressed with. I've spoken with Neal Adams twice, the first time he looked at some of my art and said "Wow", the second time I mentioned Cory Adams thinking it was his son and it turns out she was his ex-wife. Oops, foot in mouth disease.

Got signatures from Lee and Sinnot, met Mrs Jack Kirby who still went to cons after Jack passed away. Almost met Gil Kane but he got sick and cancelled. Did get signed Green Lantern from Cary Nord, illustrator of the original GL. Met Sergio, Steranko, Miller (Yes that one) and did a drawing of Mike Carlin from DC which can still be found at the comics for literacy website [link]

Can't wait to go back and have a booth to present my own creation.

Awwww, but I want to try it!!! It would be totally fun if you could leap high enough to top a dragon ^_____^ It just might not be as fun when the dragon leaps on you...
