Decided to rescan an early piece, my first piece ever submitted to DA I believe.Dedicated to the memory of my dear friend Mike Bunce who took so many of us on so many river adventures!

Ah yes. The old man of the mountains. Some men just look the part. (I think I mentioned the craftsmen in Silver Dollar City, and their "wood spirits" that look quite similar.) Rich in details Bob.

That is really amazing! I really need to get better and landscapes and stuff, there is a picture I have been wanting to draw but the background is all dead trees, and it scares me.

i love this picture. was just wondering if there is only five faces some what hidden in this pic or is there more im not seeing.

Actually there is one more. On the rock face to the lower left there is a petroglyph that is based on an actual petroglyph found on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River.
The actual image reflects a Native American symbol that represents the area as a good place to catch fish, but we always held that it was their way of foretelling the coming of our friend Mike to the Salmon River centuries ago so I included it.
