Ah. Thanks very much.
I take it that it's not an attribute that you've seen a lot of these days? Particularly in young people?

Not true, I actually see a lot of respectful young people. I know it seems like the older generation seems to put young people down a lot and I think that's a shame when there are really a majority of the younger generation that are knowledgeable and respectful.

Good thing then, wouldn't you say?
Still, from an educational perspective, would be nice if there was more encouragement in the arts and such. Because for a lot of us, we're told by someone that we can't draw so we put down the pencil and never pick it up again.

I agree. So often we can't learn something right away so we get discouraged and never try it again. What if we all felt that way about reading. People are continually forcing us to keep reading and eventually we reach at least some degree of proficiency at it. But with drawing many people feel like you have to possess innate talent for art or forget it. I can tell you my "talent" for art wasn't achieved overnight. It was and still is a developing skill which I devote many hours to constantly to improve upon.
Encouragement is key to helping anyone succeed in any skill development including art!

No question there. But I think it's because we don't value art or anything creative in American culture. It's only valued if it can bring in money.
Don't get me wrong I'm not against money and such - but really there's gotta be a limit wouldn't you say?
